The San Diego Chargers haven’t had starting outside linebacker Jarret Johnson in the last three out of four games. Looks like they’ll have to face the Kansas City Chiefs without him.
Joining Johnson on the inactives list is tackle King Dunlap. In his place will start rookie D.J Fluker.
Chargers inactives: LB J. Johnson, LT K. Dunlap, OT W. Smith, QB B. Sorensen, WR L. Hawkins, SS B. Taylor, WR K. Geathers.

Phillip Rivers threw for 392 yards and three touchdowns to lead the San Diego Chargers past the Kansas City Chiefs, 41-48, on Sunday. “It’s one of those you’ll never forget, that’s for sure,” said Rivers, via the Associated Press. “It’s kind of what our season’s been about,” Rivers added. “Can you drive and score at the end?” Rivers connected with Seyl Ajirotutu...
Seyi Ajirotutu should get a little more notice after catching a last-second touchdown pass to lift the San Diego Chargers to a thrilling 41-38 victory at Kansas City.
His name, though, will no doubt still be hard for some people to pronounce.
Ajirotutu caught a 26-yard pass from Philip Rivers with 24 seconds left Sunday to end the shootout and a three-game losing streak, and perhaps...
Chargers running back Ryan Mathews left the game against Kansas City with a hamstring injury and his return is questionableFantasy Spin:Mathews has been a much better fantasy option of late and had already accumulated 65 yards and a rushing touchdown in this one before he left. Danny Woodhead should get most of the work the rest of the way with Ronnie Brown has his backup.
Chargers receiver Keenan Allen suffered a knee injury in Week 11 but it won't keep him from playing Sunday against Kansas City.Fantasy Spin:Allen has cooled off a bit after logging three 100-yard outings in a four-game stretch last month but he's still the most dangerous weapon San Diego has in the passing game outside of tight end Antonio Gates. Even against a solid Chiefs...
Chargers receiver Eddie Royal (foot) is active for Week 12.Fantasy Spin:Royal has been held down by the injury, catching just four balls for 56 yards over the past two weeks. His fantasy value has dropped to its lowest level of the season and many fantasy owners are rightfully not starting him.
You can never say that Rivers doesn’t care.

Chargers outside linebacker Jarret Johnson hopes to play against Kansas City on Sunday, six days after having surgery on his left hand.
Johnson is listed as doubtful. He was hurt during a loss at Miami on Sunday.
The Chargers (4-6) have lost three straight games and are essentially playing for their season.
That's why Johnson hopes to play despite having his hand in a cast...
In a truly entertaining and nail-biting game, the Chargers defeated the Chiefs 41-38 in a match-up that finally demonstrated that San Diego has the gumption to positively finish a game and get the win.QB Philip Rivers entered the game with 2,989 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, eight interceptions, a passer rating of 104.4, and leads the league in completion percentage at 70.9%. Today...
Philip Rivers called it the kind of game that could save the Chargers' season. Seyi Ajirotutu called its defining play the greatest catch of his career.
The San Diego Chargers beat the one-loss Kansas City Chiefs 41-38 to keep their playoff hopes alive. It was the Chiefs first home loss of the season and only their second loss of the year.
The Chiefs’ defense was without outside linebackers Tamba Hali (ankle) and Justin Houston (elbow) for most of the game. The two lead the league with a combined 20 sacks and their presence was...
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) Philip Rivers threw for 392 yards and three touchdowns, the final one a 26-yarder to Seyi Ajirotutu with 24 seconds remaining, to give San Diego a 41-38 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and end the Chargers' three-game losing streak.
The Chiefs had taken the lead when Alex Smith hit Dwayne Bowe in tight coverage for a go-ahead score with 1:22...
The Chiefs went into Week 12 with the second best defense in the NFL scoring wise. They were up against an average Chargers offense, who are not even in the top ten in the league in scoring. So obviously people would have thought that this game was either going to be a blowout by the Chiefs, or a close low scoring game. However, it was just the exact opposite of that. The Chiefs...
That’s our Marmalard. After the Chiefs regained the lead over the Chargers with less than a minute and a half remaining, things looked bleak for San Diego. But without any pass rush due to injuries to Tamba Hali and Justin Houston left Kansas City vulnerable on defense. The game-winning Chargers drive went 78 yards in less than a minute, ending with a 26-yard touchdown pass to Seyi Ajirotutu.
Quarterback Champs:Philip Rivers- 27/39, 392 yards, 3 TDs – 27.7 fantasy pointsAnd who would have thunk River’s would have been the top fantasy quarterback from week 12 in this “bad matchup?” Rivers was feeling the flow early, connecting with his boy Kenan Allen early and often. The 80-yarder to Ladarius Green (LOVE him in keeper leagues), didn’t hurt the stat line, either...
