BY NICK ST. DENISDion Jordan took the practice field with his teammates Tuesday for the first time since being drafted by the Miami Dolphins at No. 3 overall in April.Jordan, a defensive end out of Oregon who is poised for a pass-rushing specialist role, started training camp on the Non-Football Injury list but was cleared for individual drills by Day 4. He missed OTAs due to an NFL rule that prohibited him from participating while college was in session.Jordan is coming off shoulder surgery but says he's put the injury behind him and is just glad to be back to a "normal football routine."That routine is completely normal yet, however, as he's only working in individual drills. The 23-year-old is slated to join live drills by the end of the week."That is the next step for me,” he told reporters Tuesday. The Dolphins don't plan on pushing Jordan into a starting role right off the bat, but he will be leaned on more and more to establish a presence opposite de...

Dolphins Camp Day 4: Offense rallies with better performance

Tuesday was not a good day for the Miami Dolphins offense.  The Dolphins defense dominated Tuesday’s practice by sacking the quarterbacks, forcing fumbles, and snatching interceptions.  As we said at the time, the defense is usually ahead of the offense early in training camp.  Why?  Because the defense is reacting to the offense.  If the offense is out of sync and all of...

Will Ryan Tannehill ever be elite?

This past NFL season was a huge year for rookie quarterbacks all across the league, RG3 and Andrew Luck played a big role in turning their respective franchises completely around leading their teams from under .500 seasons to wild card playoff births. Russell Wilson (although carried by a spectacular defense) definitely  played a role in Seattle’s turn around season and playoff...

WR Mike Wallace off to poor start with Dolphins

The Pittsburgh Steelers know hard working players and almost always find a way to keep them. The Steelers never felt WR Mike Wallace was a total ‘team’ player and paid WR Antonio Brown the money Wallace felt was owed to him. Fast forward to 2013 and Miami, where Wallace has underperformed during the offseason and now off to a slow start in training camp. According to Omar...

Dolphins Mike Wallace not living up to the hype

The ink on Mike Wallace's contract in Miami is barely dry. His 5 year, $60,000,000 deal is one of the most lucrative wide receiver deals in league history.Since Dolphins sophomore QB Ryan Tannehill started playing pitch-and-catch with his new best friend, rumors have swirled around the league that chemistry just isn't there. Wallace's hands are sloppy and that "it...

Dolphins’ Haze Rookies By Giving Out Terrible Haircuts & Dye Jobs (Photo)

The NFL season is finally upon us, and with that comes the lovely hazing NFL rookies will be subjected to all over the country. The Miami Dolphins seem to have gotten an early start on things, when some of their rookies were blessed with terrible haircuts that involved awful dye jobs. Dolphins defensive tackle Randy Starks posted these photos to Instagram and Twitter of the rookies...

Jonathan Martin weighed more than 300 pounds at the start of the year and decided to do something about it. So he undertook a rigorous workout routine - and gained 15 pounds. For an NFL offensive tackle, pounds can be a plus, and Martin was pleased to add some heft. ''I think it will help a lot,'' he said, sweating in the sun after a Miami Dolphins training camp...

Miami Dolphins kick off rookie haircut hazing with horrible dye jobs

The official start of NFL training camp reminds us that football season is just around the corner. It also happens to be one of my favorite times of the year for another reason — rookie haircut hazing. The Miami Dolphins decided to kick off the annual tradition this year with a unique spin. Rather than [...]

Multiple reports are saying that Dolphins receiver Mike Wallace and quarterback Ryan Tannehill have yet to develop much chemistry.Fantasy Spin:Its way too early to worry. There are weeks of training camp and a few exhibition games to get it together before we would consider a change to either player's expected fantasy value.

Thomas Not Conceding Anything

Ever since Reggie Bush left the Dolphins as a free agent to join the Detroit Lions, the focus at the running back position has been squarely on Lamar Miller. Big things are being predicted for the second-year player from the University of Miami. But what about the other running backs on the Miami? What, more specifically, about Daniel Thomas?

Brandon Gibson Fitting in Well in the Middle at Miami

Fantasy football owners, especially those participating in point per catch leagues, may want to consider using a late round flyer on first year Dolphin wide receiver Brandon Gibson. Gibson, a fifth-year pro from Washington Sate University, signed with the Dolphins after spending four years with the St. Louis Rams. Although he never caught more that 53 balls in a season and failed...
