It was a hectic year in New Orleans between the bounty scandal and the suspension of head coach Sean Payton, so it’s tough to judge anyone based on the past 10 months. At least one Saints player feels as though Spagnuolo is to blame for a disappointing 2012 season. In speaking with the The Times-Picayune on Tuesday, the anonymous player reportedly gave an emphatic “yes” when asked if Spagnuolo deserved to be fired after a season in which the Saints set an NFL record for yards allowed. “Players have no say in anything,” the player said. “It was (a) complete opposite from before where it was a simple D that players had lot of control and say. We couldn’t suggest (expletive)…Nothing ever changed. It was his way only. “Don’t even get me started on lack (of) ability to adjust during games. Bad, bad, bad.” On Wednesday, linebacker Jonathan ...

Report: Saints player tears into Steve Spagnuolo

Anyone with a one-third of a brain noticed that the New Orleans Saints’ defense was not right this year.   Despite the obvious it was not suspected that anyone would step up and discuss it. There has been enough drama down by the bayou. Yet, discuss it they have as an anonymous player discussed how the unit felt in a published report. Please Click Here To Read This Story.

Saints Nation: Should Steve Spagnuolo Be Fired?

A nuclear bomb was dropped on Steve Spagnuolo and the Saints' coaching staff late last night while most of us were sleeping. Larry Holder of the Times-Picayune, citing an anonymous player of the Saints, gave the player's opinion that Spagnuolo should be fired immediately. What bothers me the most about these quotes is, well, pretty much all of it. Where to even start? Everyone...

Steve Spagnuolo ‘Treats People Like Crap’ and Should Be Fired, According to Anonymous Saints Player

The Steve Spagnuolo era in New York with the Giants was a successful one, with the Massachusetts native orchestrating one of the game’s best defenses as defensive coordinator. Things went so well, in fact, that the tenure earned Spagnuolo a head coaching gig with the St. Louis Rams. It’s all been downhill from there, though. The Rams went 1-15 in his first season, and things...

Anonymous Saints player thinks Steve Spagnuolo should be fired, says he ‘treats people like crap’

Anonymously ripping people has become all the rage in the NFL. In the past year alone, an anonymous Dolphins player ripped Chad Johnson on his way out the door and an anonymous rival GM ripped Ndamukong Suh saying he belonged on the “All-Hype team”. And now an anonymous Saints player decided to join in the act by anonymously ripping first year defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo...

NFL Rumors: New Orleans Saints Players Trying To Push Steve Spagnuolo Out?

The 2012 NFL season will not be one in which the New Orleans Saints will wish to remember. Take away the losing record and failure to make the playoffs, coupled with all of the player and coaching and executive suspensions, and this past season is one to forget in The Big Easy. Unfortunately, it appears as if the damage control is nowhere near complete for Sean Payton and the Saints...

Anonymous New Orleans Saints player: Defensive coordinator should be fired

The New Orleans Saints defense was woeful in 2012. New Orleans ranked dead last in the NFL in total yards allowed (7,042) and finished second from the bottom in points allowed (28.4 PPG).
