Found June 11, 2014 on Eagles Addict:
If you’ve been on Twitter any time during the past 24 hours, I’m sure you must have seen a Tweet or two (or a hundred) about Eagles rookie WR Jordan Matthews. Apparently he’s gone from fighting for the third receiver position to being rookie of the year to being the No. 1 Wide Receiver to being a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame when his career is over. All in the past 24 hours or so. It never ceases to amaze me how things can instantaneously blow up on Twitter or any other social media. Hey, I’m as excited as the next guy about the potential of Matthews, but I’d like to see him in real action before jumping aboard the hype train. However, that didn’t stop the Matthews express yesterday. And it all started with this seemingly innocent tweet from Jimmy Kempski, a respected beat writer/blogger for the Eagles… In limited media access to OTAs so far, Jordan Matthews has looked like the best WR on the team, in my opinion, and it hasn't been close. — Jimmy Kempski (@JimmyKempski) June...

Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly isn’t on the hot seat, but these 10 guys are

The NFL season is upon us. Yes, it’s still six weeks until training camps get started. And sure, the regular-season opener isn’t for 84 days. But with voluntary OTAs and mandatory minicamps underway, every team in the league has already started their preparation for 2014. That means coaching staffs have already begun evaluating talent, molding their roster, installing systems...

Jordan Mathews looking like the best receiver on the Eagles

Jimmy Kempski of Philly.com believes Jordan Mathews is the best looking receiver for the Eagles so far this offseason. In limited media access to OTAs so far, Jordan Matthews has looked like the best WR on the team, in my opinion, and it hasn't been close. — Jimmy Kempski (@JimmyKempski) June 10, 2014 This really isn’t saying much when all they have it Riley Cooper and Jeremy...

Mat Barkley not impressing in Eagles camp?

getty images Second year player Matt Barkley is splitting time with G.J. Kinne on the third-team offense of the Philadelphia Eagles during OTAs. And word from the Philadelphia Inquirer is that Kinne look “more efficient.” Barkley and Kinne are jockeying for the third spot on the Eagles depth chart behind starter Nick Foles and free agent signing Mark Sanchez. While it is difficult...

Mark Sanchez reportedly struggling during workouts

Nick Foles wasn’t in any danger of losing the Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback job this summer, but thanks to Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley it sounds like his job is safer than ever. According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, neither of the former USC stars has been impressive during offseason workouts. Foles has […]

Can Maclin Carry Chip Kelly’s Offense?

#158818877 / gettyimages.com Last season, out of the Philadelphia Eagles‘ group of Wide Receivers, DeSean Jackson carried the team. This year some believe Jeremy Maclin will have to play that role. Everyone expects Maclin to carry most of the workload this year, but he doesn’t have to. Nick Foles has 4 other targets that could put up big numbers. Chip Kelly’s offense uses...

Sanchez not fully healthy, looks to be top backup

It’s always an amusing exchange, even if you already know the setups and the deliveries and the punchlines. It’s been going on for a year now. You can see it coming. Last season, most of the questions about who was winning what job -- the player handicapping that becomes all consuming during OTAs, minicamps and training camp -- focused primarily on the quarterbacks. The starting...

Philadelphia Eagles don’t have a DE named top-10 in the NFL

Typically speaking, sports fans tend to worry about two things – the past and the future. They’ll debate who was the greatest player of all-time, while also spending hours discussing whether or not a rookie is going to be develop into an All-Pro. Both are fun exercises, things that keep fans engaged and the beer flowing at the local tavern. But they miss out on what is most important...

Eagles Rumors: Nick Foles not worried about contract

After the San Francisco 49ers signed quarterback Colin Kaepernick to a record deal, other young signal callers are presumably smiling in hopes of reaching a similar deal with their respected teams. Eagles quarterback Nick Foles, however, might be an exception to this presumption. After an outstanding 2013, Foles has expressed no interests in discussing a contract extension at...
