Jordan Shipley Gets Second Chance With Tampa Bay - Wide receiver Jordan Shipley is getting another chance with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Shipley, who played in two preseason games for the Bucs after he was waived by the Cincinnati Bengals in August but failed to make the 53-man roster, signed with Tampa Bay today. The 26-year old was a third-round draft pick of the Bengals in 2010 and had an impressive rookie campaign, catching 52 passes for 600 yards and scoring three Touchdowns. But last season he tore his ACL and MCL in Week 2 and didn’t seem to be back at full speed in Bengals camp this year. Click here! to Read More...

Tampa Bay has re-signed wide receiver Jordan Shipley, the team announced Tuesday. Shipley returns after the Buccaneers waived him Aug. 31. He was among the team’s final cuts in training camp. To clear a roster spot, the Bucs released offensive lineman Derek Hardman. Shipley, 26, landed with Tampa Bay on Aug. 20 after his release by Cincinnati. The third-year pro from Texas...

Greg Schiano, the future of NFL kneel-downs: Why he was right

It may sound crazy but Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano had his team in the right state of mind when he told them to play until the end despite the New York Giants being lined up in the victory formation and taking a knee.  In one of the most controversial plays in the early part of the 2012 season, the Buccaneers trailed the Giants in the closing moments of the fourth...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers bench Right Tackle Jeremy Trueblood

Last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had to insert Demar Dotson into the starting lineup at right tackle in place of the Jeremy Trueblood, who was nursing an ankle injury. Either Dotson played extremely well in the eyes of his coaches or Trueblood is still too injuried to play, because the Bucs announced to today on their new blog that the change at right tackle appears to be...

Anonymous Source: Raheem Morris Is ‘Another Set of Eyes’

Do the Skins have another Sherm Lewis situation on their hands? If Hogs Haven’s single, anonymous source is to be believed, yeah. Head over to the report, which says Mike Shanahan stripped D coordinator Jim Haslett of play-calling duties, handing them to secondary coach Raheem Morris in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s meltdown at St. Louis. If true, this team is a total mess...

The kneel down controversy that emerged from the end of last Sunday’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers/New York Giants game is one of the hot button topics to surge out of week two. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Week 3 NFL Power Rankings (#18)

Last week: 17 (-1) Record: 1-1 The Buccaneers have the league’s worst 2.2 yards per differential, allowing 7.2 yards per play and gaining 5.0 yards per play. So how are they 1-1 with a close loss to the Giants? Well, having the 2nd best turnover differential in the NFC, +3, has something to do with it, as do 124 yards and a touchdown on 5 interception returns. Another part of it...

Outrage over Greg Schiano, Buccaneers’ actions on kneel down is ridiculous

The Giants and others in the media are complaining about the Buccaneers’ behavior on the last play of Sunday’s game, and I’m not really sure why. The Bucs were down 41-34 and had just given the ball to the Giants after an interception by Josh Freeman. Sure they were upset about blowing a 27-13 lead and then turning the ball over in the final minute, but the game wasn’t...

Monday Musings: 5 Thoughts on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Loss to the New York Giants

1. Buccaneers101.com has no problem with how head coach Greg Schiano handled the end of the game with the Giants on Sunday. It shows that this is not a team...
