Found November 19, 2012 on Larry Brown Sports:
Some guys just can’t live without their long hair. I’ve never understood why wide receivers or running backs would want to have long hair, but maybe I just don’t appreciate a good set of dread locks the way I should. During the Dallas Cowboys’ overtime win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Josh Cribbs was dragged down by his dreadlocks on what looked like a painful tackle from Cowboys tight end John Phillips. Cribbs didn’t get it quite as badly as Torrey Smith got it last season, but that still had to hurt. Guys who have long hair are basically giving their opponents permission to horse-collar tackle them, which is against the rules because it’s dangerous. But hey, a personal choice is a personal choice. Animation via @cjzero

Mike Holmgren only has eyes for Dallas

Talk about pressure, Jason Garrett is coaching in the same stadium with the guy who may want his job, Mike Holmgren.  Holmgren can pretty much call his own shots on where he wants to coach, so having a guy like that looking over your shoulder creates a very cold shadow. According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, Holmgren only has one preference, and that is the Dallas Cowboys. He has denied...

Cowboys LT Smith suffers high ankle sprain

ARLINGTON, Texas Cowboys starting left tackle Tyron Smith exited with a left high ankle sprain late in the first quarter Sunday and did not return. Smith went into the locker room following the injury and returned to the sideline with his left ankle heavily taped. He worked on some moves with reserve center Kevin Kowalski but never went back into the game. Cowboys owner and general...

Cowboys playing with fire to throw deep

As the Cowboys navigate past the 10 game barrier in their season and in to the stretch drive, we now have enough data to begin to learn about this team based on what they do well and more importantly, it seems, what they don't do well at all. We know that this team has the fewest 10 play drives in the NFL. Of the Cowboys 112 drives, only 11 have lasted 10 plays. That is lower...

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant could finally be arriving

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By SCHUYLER DIXON AP Sports Writer Dez Bryant may finally be ready to stop being a riddle. The Cowboys receiver has been great one game and hard to find the next. He created a scene at a mall one year, then trouble with the law the next. But now he has multiple 100-yard receiving games for the first time, including a career-best...

Good Job, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Guys Whacking It To Porn Like You The Most

As the editor-in-chief of a popular sports comedy blog, I get two kinds of e-mails: the ones from people who have no idea who I am, but want a link anyway (sample: “HI JOSH, Spring is around the corner, here are the 50 greatest boobtacular moments in sports”), and the ones from porn tubes who just learned something about sports and think I should know about it.In the interest...

Cleveland Browns' VP battling against cancer

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns office of vice president Bryan Wiedmeier is never cluttered. A binder always sits within arms reach on his gleaming desk. That binder is Wiedmeiers work, studied and distilled to its essence. Anyone who works with or for him asks a question and hell go to a tab and find the answer. Little fazes him, and when something at all controversial is...

Cowboys loss was more frustrating than most Browns losses

Browns penalties must be hysterical to Ed Hochuli’s crew I have a tough time explaining why my frustration levels fluctuate so much throughout a Browns season. Some weeks as the Browns lose, it barely registers on the imaginary frustrate-o-meter in my house. I kind of shrug my shoulders, write about the Browns game on Sunday and just move along with my week. Then other weeks I’m...

Why It Sucks Watching Your Hometown Team on TV

We’re not sure who your hometown team is, but for us, it’s the Cleveland Browns. Now before you laugh at us and appropriately call us the biggest loser you’ve ever met, we want to remind you that nothing you say can upset us as much as these f*cking guys. And since we live outside of Ohio these days, it’s nearly impossible for us to catch a game of theirs, but when we do...
