Josh McDaniels Is Not Finished With The Denver Broncos   Minutes after Denver shocked the Football World with a win over the Steelers, Josh McDaniels is hired as an offensive assistant for the Patriots. Can McDaniels just leave this town alone?
McDaniels: Head Coach Josh McDaniels was the Broncos' head coach from 2008 to just about the end of the 2010 season. His time in Denver was quite productive. He did everything he could to sabotage an already struggling franchise. McDaniels went straight to work in the NFL Draft, trading Jay Cutler in a confusing mess to move up the Broncos' Draft position. That single trade gave the Broncos the mediocrity of Kyle Orton put together with the miracle first-round pick of RB Knowshon Moreno, while the Bears stole the Draft with Denver's fifth-round pick to acquire Johnny Knox. Moreno is a solid back, but when a man takes over a defensive disaster one wonders why his first pick wouldn't have been Brian Cushing, Clay Matthews, Brian Orakpo or Ziggy Hood; all of which were available during the Broncos' first pick, and their 18th overall pick secured from the Cutler trade.

Sabotage was McDaniels' forte, and he just could not stop himself. In 2010, before the Broncos and Niners played each other in London, McDaniels' camera crew decided to film the 49ers walk-thru practice. When McD found out, he did the most reasonable choice, to act like nothing ever happened. Just ask Joe Paterno about ignoring problems, it can destroy franchises. Denver owner Pat Bowlen summed up the situation quite clearly by saying "This incident cuts into the trust and respect our fans, our ticket holders, our community and our fellow competitors have for our organization." McDaniels was already on his way out, he just wanted to burn his bridges before he left town.

Denver vs. McDaniels: Round 2  Now McDaniels has finished 2011 as the offensive coordinator of the Rams, with an anemic 12.1 pts per game. Bill Belichick knows talent, and he knows McDaniels 12.1 pts per game is a result of the massive talent that McDaniels posesses. Just a crazy suggestion, but what if Belichick picked up McD because he drafted Tebow? Nobody in the NFL has has more to do with Tim Tebow than Josh McDaniels. It has been suggested that McDaniels might know Tebow and the little kinks in Denver's offense better than John Fox. No matter what the true reason is for McDaniels being hired so quickly, Denver is holding a grudge. Josh McDaniels may be an 'offensive assistant' but his knowledge will most likely be used to try and thwart the Broncos' offense led by Tim Tebow. This weekend in Foxboro holds great significance for both franchises. The Patriots' Achilles Heel is apparently the Broncos, the only team in the league with a winning record against the Patriots. McDaniels will definitely add a little bit of vigor to the Broncos.

Putting McDaniels aside, this game is simply a rematch of the 2005 Divisional game when the underdog Broncos beat the heavily-favored Patriots. All things having been said, it will be a great game to watch.
