New York Giants
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
North Carolina State Wolfpack
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Picking up where they left off in their last game, the New York Giants steamrolled the Carolina Panthers, in part by unleashing a new weapon. The success nearly tired out the Giants. Andre Brown ran for a career-best 113 yards and scored two touchdowns as the Giants cruised to a 36-7 victory Thursday night at Bank of America Stadium. The Giants, who got five field goals from Lawrence Tynes, won their second game in a row after losing their opener. The Panthers are 1-2. Brown, a third-year player who has rarely been on active NFL rosters, had a pair of 1-yard touchdown runs among his 20 carries -- which equaled the total rushing attempts for the entire Carolina team. The performance came in his home state; he's from Greenville and he played collegiately for North Carolina State. "I ran hard and made sure I picked up my pass protection," Brown said. "Go out there and make plays, and that's what we did." Brown, who filled in fo...
BEST OF MAXIM
CHARLOTTE, NC -- Andre Brown and Ramses Barden became kindred spirits Thursday night.
Brown and Barden traveled uniquely different paths to reach this point, but when both were called on for really the first times in their rather unproductive NFL careers, they came through for the New York Giants in a 36-7 rout of the Carolina Panthers.
It was Brown on the ground and Barden through...
Andre Brown is having a nice week or so. On Sunday, Ahmad Bradshaw went down with an injury midgame against the Giants and because Tim Coughlin didn’t trust 1st round rookie David Wilson because of ball security and pass protection issues, he put the more veteran Andre Brown in the game. Brown impressed, rushing for 71 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries and he earned the start...
Giants running back Andre Brown had a career night Thursday against the Panthers, rushing for 113 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries in relief of an injured Ahmad Bradshaw.Fantasy Spin:Meanwhile, David Wilson received one carry. As long as Bradshaw remains out, consider Brown a RB2, even in 10-team leagues. He's looked that good in his last two games, carrying 33 times for...
Coaches always tell their backups to be ready. A play or an injury often separates them from being a starter or - at the least - a contributor.
With the New York Giants, that happened to running back Andre Brown, wide receiver Ramses Barden and rookie cornerback Jayron Hosley over the past five days, and boy did they take advantage.
Brown, who has been cut seven times by five different...
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Eli Manning didn't need a big comeback Thursday night, not with Andre Brown running for a career-high 113 yards and two touchdowns in the New York Giants' 36-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Brown got the start in place of Ahmad Bradshaw, who sat out with a neck injury. Ramses Barden caught nine passes for a career-high 138 yards in his first...
What a game it was for the New York Giants as an entire unit. Everything was working for them, their offense put up 36 points, their defense forced 3 Cam Newton interceptions and even their special teams got into the action with 2 forced fumbles. While the team performed well as a whole, it was 2 players who put in serious work in fantasy this week.
I will start with the player...
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Giants 36 @ Panthers 7

Can’t cut THIS!
Andre Brown. Andre Brown has single-handedly killed any hope I had of an Adrian Peterson, rookie year-like win in my decade-old fantasy football league. David Wilson was my supposed to be my trump card. Ahmad Bradshaw was going to get hurt (check) and...
Eli Manning didn't need a scintillating fourth quarter comeback Thursday night.
The two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback, running back Andre Brown and the rest of the New York Giants were too good for the first three quarters to need one.
Brown ran for a career-high 113 yards and two touchdowns in his first NFL start and the routed the Carolina Panthers 36-7.
