Jeff Dickerson's Blog:
LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- New Chicago Bears linebacker Cato June is on the practice field, and has been given Pisa Tinoisamoa's old number 59. Expect June to be active Sunday versus St. Louis, but it sounds like Jamar Williams may be given the first crack to replace Lance Briggs (in the event Briggs doesn't play) at weak-side linebacker.
"I haven't found out all that (his role)," June said before Wednesday's practice. "This week, I'll probably come out and play some special teams. Get back in the groove of things."
There was no sign of Briggs (knee) or Charles Tillman (mild concussion) at the start of practice. Orlando Pace (groin) and Alex Brown (leg) appeared to be skipping the workout.
