NFL Draft Zone:
When the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted J-Black in the first round they thought his title and story would have came up in week 1, not week 9, but yesterday Justin Blackmon caught five passes for 32 yards and his first career touchdown in the Jaguars’ Week 9 loss to the Lions. Blackmon had a decent game, but he lacks concentration and awareness at times and offers little-to-nothing after the catch. With Laurent Robinson (concussion) returning after missing the last three weeks, Blackmon played mainly in the slot and ran mostly crossing and flat routes. The rookie was targeted nine times but failed to get his feet in bounds on one and then dropped another pass. He saw one deep ball, but it was poorly thrown and picked off. Blackmon is on pace to catch 46 passes for a lackluster 450 yards at the halfway point in the season.
Do you think the Jaguars reached on Blackmon? I don’t just give him time, he will be fine.
