We already know -- and have known for some time -- that Eli Manning ranked No. 31 in NFL Network's annual "Top 100" players survey.

Suffice it to say, teammate Justin Tuck feels the Super Bowl MVP should've fared much better.

"That's a joke," Tuck said of Manning's ranking, via NFL.com. "No question. He is top five, hands down. Top five."

Tuck, who himself came in at No. 62, made a logical case for Manning, the fourth-highest quarterback and honorary Dunkin' Donuts employee.

"You win the Super Bowl, you have the season he had, you are automatically top 10," Tuck said. "But it's how he did it, as far as the fourth-quarter comebacks, leading a team that really didn't have a super, super star wide receiver at the beginning of the year. He made two guys in Hakeem (Nicks) and Victor (Cruz), he made those guys what they are now. I really feel as though he should have been a lot higher than he was."

Hard to argue with those points, and even harder to justify the fact that Peyton wasn't too far behind, despite missing the entire 2011 season. Could big brother have (unintentionally) skewed Eli's respect around the league?

"Possibly, it's just a shame that his brother (Peyton) didn't even play, and he is only 19 spots behind him," Tuck said. "I know Eli doesn't really care about it that much, but as his teammate, you like to see him get a little more respect than that."

It's been a mouthy offseason for Tuck. Not only did he tease Big Blue fans with the 'D'-word, but helped fellow defensive lineman Osi Umenyiora score a new contract.

Guess those are the perks of being a perennial All-Pro and reigning world champ.
