While preparing to write this article, the first thing I had to do was take a look at the Chiefs' schedule to begin my research. What game would I want to go to? What game will tell us how the Kansas City Chiefs are going to do this year? I expected to pick a game against the Broncos or the Raiders, but my eyes stopped right at the top of the schedule.I knew what home game is the biggest for the Chiefs this year; that game would be their home opener against the Atlanta Falcons. The Atlanta Falcons have been high-flying the past couple of years with Matt Ryan, Michael Turner and two of the best receiving tandems in the game in Roddy White and Julio Jones. The Chiefs, on the other hand, have given us surprise seasons and huge disappointments the past couple of years. In 2010 the Chiefs made it to the AFC Wild Card Playoffs and got beat by the Baltimore Ravens. Last year the Chiefs were streaky; losing their first three games, winning the next four, losing the next four and then sp...

Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers has been ruled out for their season opener against Atlanta, leaving Kansas City without four key players on defense.
Flowers had practiced sparingly this week with a bum right heel that's hampered him since late July. He was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.
The Chiefs were already without Pro Bowl linebacker Tamba Hali...
For the last five seasons, the Kansas City Chiefs have selected three defensive linemen in the first round of the NFL draft in Glenn Dorsey, Tyson Jackson and Dontari Poe. Dorsey and Jackson, were also top five first round picks in 2008 and 2009, with neither of them playing up to the expectations they have [...]
Kansas City has to do anything they can to intimidate opponenents these days. Matt Cassel isn’t worrying anyone so they have to resort to cheap scare tactics like this. The Chiefs sent their grounds team out to Kansas City International Airport to spray a massive chiefs logo in the grass. The Falcons are going to be flying into town soon and seeing that logo will send shivers...
KANSAS CITY, Mo. The number isnt three.
Or two. Or six. Or five. Or seven. Or however many starters dont suit up on defense for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Since 2009, over the past three seasons, the Chiefs have scored 24 or more points at Arrowhead Stadium in six different contests.
They won five.
Since 2009, the Atlanta...

KANSAS CITY, Mo. When all you've got in the fridge is a pack of bologna, a loaf of bread and a 4-month-old jar of mayo, it's a little tough to make filet mignon.
The NFL is a filet mignon league. Roddy White and Julio Jones are filet mignon receivers. Tony Gonzalez is the filet mignon of tight ends.
You're trotting out Jacques Reeves.
Matt Ryan is a filet mignon quarterback...
The Chiefs and Falcons both enter the 2012 season with aspirations of a division title, and potentially, a game in February. Atlanta comes into the season as one of the most frustrating teams in the NFC, as they have had plenty of success during the regualr season under quarterback Matt Ryan, only to see those seasons come to frustrating ends in the postseason. Ryan, in fact...
