State of the Texans:
Houston Texans starting corner back Kareem Jackson tweeted out a flyer promoting his NFL weekend in Macon, Georgia this coming March. The only issue is that the company that is helping him promote his weekend did not help him out.
It seems the company that was promoting Jackson’s event forgot to use the spell check.
After tweeting Jackson and telling him of the mistakes, he said he noticed the issue and appreciated us looking out for him.
Even the company that made the flyer for Jackson tweeted us too.
@patdstat new flyer homie twitter.com/Rcox4Cox/statu…

There are a number of famous curses that pertain to sports. We have heard of the Madden curse and the curse of the Bambino, but most have probably never heard of the Buffalo Sports Curse and the Cardinals Football Curse (look them up). There is one curse though that has never been talked about, but deserves some consideration when it comes to sports and the unexplained. I’m talking...
Houston Texan Star and the NFL’s Defensive player of the year J.J. Watt is a mountain of a man. Watt weighs in at a meager 295-pounds, coupled with 6-5 height. He might just get your attention when he walks into a room. Watt recently had lunch with another Houston icon, Yao Ming. Yao is listed … Continue reading »
James Casey, #86

John McClain reports that the Houston Texans will not pursue a trade for Viking WR Percy Harvin or try to sign Mike Wallace during free agency.
Clearly, the Texans are still in need of a solid No. 2 receiver to pair with Andre Johnson who will be 32 at the start of the 2013 season. Both Harvin and Wallace could add a much needed explosive element to their passing attack, but they...
My Man, hahaha. Check out my high school classmate Duane Brown who is an offensive lineman for the Houston Texans. He's trying his hand at signing Goyte's hit song, "Somebody That I Used To Know" on The Roula and Ryan Show on 104.1 KRB. Personally I think it's an awesome job, but that's partly because I have to say that. Check it out for yourself...
Since we are a couple of days from the NFL combine, we here at Outside the Boxscore have to fill our NFL-related content with clips like these.
Check out Houston Texans offensive tackle Duane Brown singing Goyte's hit song, "Somebody That I Used To Know" on The Roula and Ryan Show on 104.1 KRBE:
Personally, I think that was a solid job by Duane.
NHL Network personality Carrie Milbank is yet another example of a cheerleader turned media personality. She captained the Houston Texans squad for four years.
From NHL.com The Hockey Show profile:
She was discovered by NFL Films in 2003 when she auditioned as a Guest Host on NFL Under The Helmet (FOX), revealing her Number One passion as an on–camera entertainer. She quickly...
Texans DE JJ Watt is a 6-foot-5, 295-pound beast of a man, but put him next to retired NBA star Yao Ming and his impressive 7-foot-6, 310-pound frame, and Watt goes from imposing hulk to, well, a normal sized human being. According to Watt’s Twitter account the two had lunch together, but the 2012 NFL Defensive Player of the Year failed to mention whether the pair broke out in...
Word coming out of Minnesota is that disgruntled wide receiver Percy Harvin is looking for a way out-of-town, and looks like it is heading that direction. One of the more complete and explosive players in the NFL, Harvin can create instant offense on the ground, in the air and returning kicks.
Adam Rank of NFL.com said this of Percy Harvin,
It is apparent that Harvin will be finding...
The Iron Sheik and Houston Texans running back Arian Foster are the latest two people to feud on Twitter. When Foster asked his followers to recommend a funny account and several mentioned the Sheik, Sheik then said he would “make you humble old country way” and the feud began. You can read more about it here.
The story was discussed on a local radio show in Minnesota, so it...
