Aside from the Chad Johnson fiasco and appearances on HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” the Dolphins, under coach Joe Philbin, are not generating a ton of buzz. Compared to their divisional mates, they’re a team that’s flown primarily under the radar.
Leave it to Karlos Dansby to change that.
Dansby, who last year dubbed himself the NFL’s best linebacker, has upped the stakes for himself and one day expects to end up where few men have gone before.
“The Hall of Fame,” Dansby said in an interview with FOX Sports Florida. “If I lead men and I stay focused on what I need to do, I’ll get there.”
Despite having never earned a trip to the Pro Bowl, Dansby believes two key statistics will land him in Canton. He’s accumulated 30.5 sacks and 11 interceptions in his career. He needs just nine more picks to become the twelfth member of the famed 20-20 club, his golden ticket to a yellow jacket.
“To get that yellow jacket and be legendary, it’s right there,” Dansby said. “I’m nine picks away

Chad Johnson, who was recently let go by the Miami Dolphins a few weeks ago, used his Twitter to show how sad he is about not being able to play as himself in Madden 2013.
That awkward moment when you realize you're not on Madden13 and have to create yourself...— Chad Johnson (@ochocinco) August 29, 2012
According to the tweet, Johnson is now forced to create a player, which...
The Miami Dolphins new regime is about to implode before the regular season even starts.
The Dolphins are short at wide receiver, short at cornerback, and short on confidence in Joe Philbin.
The coach doesn’t want personnel moves discussed in public. The players scratch their heads about those same personnel moves.
Reggie Bush was recently asked by a Miami Herald reporter...
DAVIE, Fla. -- Karlos Dansby wears a wristband that reads "Confidence." Not that he ever needs to be reminded.
Dansby last season, even though he's never made a Pro Bowl, proclaimed himself the best linebacker in the NFL. Take a look at what he's now saying about himself.
The Miami Dolphins middle linebacker expects one day to end up in the Pro Football Hall of...
The Miami Dolphins had their biggest scare of 2012 earlier today when Jake Long left Dolphins practice after injuring his knee. We all waited anxiously to hear the results of Jake’s visit to the hospital to find out the extent of his injury. An injury to the Dolphins 4 time Pro Bowl Left Tackle was [...]
Dolphin’s nation it’s time to a big deep breath, yesterday the Dolphins finally had luck on their side as it appears Jake Long’s ankle injury is only a minor tweak and he should even be ready to go for the opener although that has yet to be fully confirmed.
The offensive line would have been quite the mess with rookie Jonathan Martin moving to left tackle in practice as...
The Miami Dolphins just completed one of their worst preseasons in team history. For only the 3rd time in franchise history, the Dolphins failed to win a preseason game. The crazy thing is, the losses aren’t THAT terrible, but it’s how they Dolphins have looked that is troubling. Last night, in the 1st quarter, the [...]
Miss the fourth episode of the new season of Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Miami Dolphins? Don’t fret, we’ve got you covered. Watch it below.
The Miami Dolphins, followed by HBO's Hard Knocks cameras everywhere this preseason have had a rough go of it so far. Rookie coach Joe Philbin and his team finished the preseason winless and are set to embark on their season in a tough AFC East with a rookie quarterback, a shaky defense and very few skilled players. Even flying in charters seems to be too much for the team to...
The Miami Dolphins have 12 days left until they open up against the Houston Texans. Hard Knocks last night, showed just how much the Dolphins will need to improve, if they want to have a chance in that game. Last night’s episode of Hard Knocks was the 4th in the series of 5 shows. The [...]
An American Airlines plane chartered by the Miami Dolphins clipped a parked plane as it prepared to take off from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford says no one was hurt but both American Airlines jets were damaged in the incident early Thursday.
American Airlines spokeswoman Andrea Huguely (HEWG'-lee) says the winglet...
This week’s episode of “Hard Knocks” was a vast improvement over the week before. Even if this season suffers for a lack of big personalities, the series is always able to tease quotes and tidbits out of players that we can use to make fun of them for the rest of the season, if not longer. And so it will be with Ryan Tannehill not knowing how the NFL divisions and conferences...
During Tuesday night’s Hard Knocks episode on HBO, it was revealed that Dolphins rookie quarterback<a href=""I wasn't a huge pro fan growing up; I wasn't loyal to any one team," said Tannehill, "so I don't really know the divisions, and even really conferences. I know most of the conferences but some of those, I really have no clue. And...
The buzz surrounding Hard Knocks has dissapated since the dramatic release of Chad Johnson from the Miami Dolphins. On this week's episode though we got a classic Hard Knocks moment showing Dolphins rookie QB Ryan Tannehill channeling his inner Ryan Lochte. Watch as Tannehill tries to vaguely guess which NFL team is in which NFL division, saying the Kansas City Chiefs...
The NFL odds look to be in the Cowboys’ favor for their preseason finale against Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins, but stranger things have happened, especially in exhibition play. Dallas is coming off a 20-19 win last week over the St. Louis Rams, though the score looked much closer than it really was. The Cowboys were actually up 17-3 after the first quarter and 20-6 at...
As you can tell from write-up, I wasn’t too enthused with last week’s installment of “Hard Knocks”. It started with minor fallout to the decision to cut Chad Johnson, followed by 55 minutes of narrative about borderline roster casualties plus Ryan Tannehill being named starting QB by a mildly prickly Joe Philbin. Again, not necessarily things that are pointless but not exactly...
