The 31-year-old Auburn University product received a $1 million signing bonus and his base salary is $1.25 million, per azcentral.com.

According to Black Sports Online, Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu sent a direct message to a 17 year-old girl on Twitter asking her when she turns 18.
Mathieu didn’t do anything legally wrong here, but I’m sure his girlfriend won’t be happy to find out about this news. He’s certainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but is one heck of a football player.
Anyone who has played or watched college sports in recent years should be entirely aware of the danger that social media holds. Why else would so many college football teams ban players from Twitter, Facebook, etc.?
