It was 18 years ago that Fred Taylor signed to play for the Florida Gators. The Pro Bowl running back was a big part of championships as a Gator and now Taylor will watch his son follow in his footsteps. Belle Glade Glades Day running back Kelvin Taylor told everyone he was going to commit this weekend. Taylor visited Gainesville for Junior Day and got the commitment out of the way early.

Reggie Davis denies reports he committed to UFKelvin Taylor is the big news in Gainesville this weekend, already committing Saturday morning to the Gators. But the Belle Glade Glades Day running back, who is the son of former UF great and NFL Jacksonville Jaguars star Fred Taylor, was not the only visitor in town.
One of the Patriots most under-the-radar spots in free agency in the center position. Long-time starter Dan Koppen is coming off an injury, but he’s a free agent. So is Dan Connolly, who was among the three who filled in admirably this year. The draft is also stocked with interior linemen.
What will the Patriots do?
I explored this topic for tomorrow’s paper, chatting with...
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The son of retired NFL running back Fred Taylor has decided to attend Florida, a potentially significant recruiting boost for the Gators.
Patriots coach Bill Belichick jokes that he traded for WR Wes Welker because he couldn’t cover him in practice. It’s not really a joke. In fact, he has a history of dealing for guys who his teams struggle with.
Is WR Mike Wallace the next one?
The third-year receiver is still with the Steelers, but he’s a restricted free agent. But with his team in salary cap jail, a franchise...
Is there life after football? Absolutely. In fact, there has been so much life that I've barely had time for Foxboro Blog in the wake of Super Bowl XLVI. Last week was easily Top 5 in my life for being crazy busy and I'm still trying to recover. (Thank goodness for President's Day.)
In the mean time, for those of you wanting some quality football contant to read...
Dan Koppen, who turns 33 in September, is set to become an unrestricted free agent next month, and its unclear if he'll be back in New England for a 10th season.
According to the Associated Press, the Buffalo Bills and wide receiver Stevie Johnson are still “far apart” when it comes to their current contract talks.
Right now Johnson doesn’t expect the Bills to use the franchise tag on him, if a deal is unable to done.
Both the Bills and Johnson exchanged offers just last week and agreed to meet at the NFL’s scouting combine to continue...
After Josh McDaniels resigned with the New England Patriots during the post season, Brandon Lloyd was privately cheering himself. The Patriots need help at Wide Receiver, and Josh McDaniels favorite weapon (Lloyd) happens to be a Free Agent. However, there was a considerable hold-up. Tom Condon, Lloyd’s agent, doesn’t deal with the Patriots, and [...]
Randy Moss raised a bunch of eyebrows and started the buzz this week by saying he wanted to unretire. And the wheels started churning. Could the former Patriots WR be a current Patriots WR?
While I think it’s unlikely (and ill-advised), analysts haven’t downplayed the possibilities. Moss does need structure and an offensive coordinator (like Josh McDaniels) who knows how to...
The Patriots have a lot of work to do this offseason. Re-signing Wes Welker would be a good place to start, says Chris Burke, who outlines the free-agency plans for each AFC East team.
