Where in the world is Kentwan Balmer? Right now, that's the burning question in D.C.
According to the Washington Post, Balmer, the Redskins defensive end, missed the last two days of training camp and presumably has gone AWOL. Bizarrely, Balmer initially showed up to Redskins Park when camp opened, but has since reverted to milk-carton status.
Nobody, including coach Mike Shanahan, knows his whereabouts, though a source tells ProFootballTalk.com that Balmer has changed his phone number.
“Hopefully it’s nothing very serious,” Shanahan said.
As the Post notes, this isn't first time Balmer, a former first-round pick of the 49ers, has pulled something like this. In 2010, he decided to leave Niners training camp unexcused, and was eventually traded to the Seahawks. Fast approaching bust status despite an impressive skill-set, Balmer lasted one season in Seattle and just a week with the Panthers before latching on with the Skins in 2011, playing in three games.

The Redskins likely wish they could take a mulligan in the season ticket printing department. Season tickets were recently sent out to those lucky Washington fans who get to enjoy eight exciting home games led by Robert Griffin III, but it appears as that the addition of RG3 excited the season ticket department so much that they forgot basic information about the rest of their players...
