Kerry Collins: Old Dog Still Has Tricks

Collins may be the third oldest starting QB in the league, but he showed that he can still compete in last nights game against the Steelers. Though the Titans lost in OT, Collins looked just as good as the guy who led them to the best record in the NFL last season, 13-3. Whether he was throwing it to the good looking first, first round pick out of Rutgers, Kenny Brit, TE Bo Scaife, or the Titans' leading receiver from 2008, Justin Gage, he certainly still has accuracy and some mustard on his passes. He was sacked only once having the veteran savvy to throw it away in the face of the pass rush if unable to dump it off, while his counter-part Roethlisberger went down four times. He took his team down the field in only three plays to answer the late second quarter TD by Big Ben and the Steelers.
