According to Kent Somers of the Sporting News, Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb is expected to hold on to the starting job even when John Skelton is healthy again, as long as he keeps winning. I don’t see why Kolb should lose his job as long as he protects the football and the Cardinals keep on winning.

Kolb riding high but Arizona QB decision looms

Kevin Kolb seems firmly at the controls in Arizona, riding high with a Cardinals team off to a 3-0 start for the first time in 38 years. Yet looming is a decision on whether he remains the starter, or the job goes back to John Skelton, who beat out Kolb in the preseason but has been sidelined by a sprained ankle since late in the season opener against Seattle. Kolb came on to direct...

Cardinals May Stick With Kevin Kolb at QB

According to Kent Somers of the Sporting News, there is little question Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt will stick with Kevin Kolb as long as Kolb is playing well and Arizona is winning.Fantasy Spin:Kolb has guided the Cardinals to two straight wins and led a game-winning drive after taking over for John Skelton in Week 1. With four passing touchdowns, a rushing score and just one...

Kolb riding high but Cards QB decision looms

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Kevin Kolb seems firmly at the controls in Arizona, riding high with a Cardinals team off to a 3-0 start for the first time in 38 years. For now, it appears the only thing that could bench Kolb is the fact that his wife is expecting the couple's third child, with the due date Thursday of next week. The Cardinals play at St. Louis that night. Childbirth...

Is it Arizona's turn out West, again?

After defeating his old team, Kevin Kolb helped the Arizona Cardinals advance to 3-0 on the season—something that hasn’t happened since 1974, before the team was even in Arizona.  With thousands of fans celebrating after the game, Glendale was buzzing; the energy was contagious. Despite all of this, during the postgame conference, head coach Ken Whisenhunt said...

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Arizona Cardinals: Hero and Zero of the Game

Hero Of The GameIn a game that saw The Arizona Cardinals match a historic 4-0 start, many also witnessed the rebirth of a quarterback. Quarterback Kevin Kolb was the catalyst of a Arizona Cardinal onslaught that left the Philadelphia Eagles with no offensive touchdowns and a constantly harassed Michael Vick. To start the party off Kolb hit rookie wide out Michael Floyd on a eight...

NFL Computerized Power Ranks – Week 3

Hey, how about this…the power ranks are ready before the Thursday game starts.  To back up Ryan’s post from Monday, his logic tells him the Cardinals are the best team in the NFL, and the computerized power ranks back up his claim.  Yes, somehow, the Kevin Kolb led Arizona Cardinals are the #1 team, followed by the other 2 3-0 teams remaining, the Falcons and Texans.  The...

Despite a Night Off, the Phillies Lose More Ground to the Cardinals

Tonight was a good mental break.  After the Phillies lost the last two games to the Atlanta Braves and the Eagles got embarrassed by Kevin Kolb and the Arizona Cardinals, a day without sports was almost welcome.  Further adding to the need for a break was waking up with the Phillies five games out of the wild card with just nine to play.  Now, they have lost more ground. ...

Arizona Cardinals are imposters

They are the story of the league, at least in terms of an on on the field product around the league. While everyone obsesses about the replacement officials and the integrity of the game, the Cardinals have gone out there and won their first three games of the season. In convincing fashion no less. Seattle, New England and Philly. Three very solid teams that have been beaten...

Cardinals sack Vick 5 times in 27-6 rout of Eagles

Arizona's defense battered Michael Vick all day - knocking him to the turf, stripping the ball from his hands. Kevin Kolb was sharp from the start, reconnecting with Larry Fitzgerald while winging passes all over the field. The Cardinals may have been far from perfect, but they played well enough to keep their record that way. Kolb threw a pair of touchdown passes and James...

Eagles fail to protect ball, get buried in Arizona

The Eagles found out in Arizona that turnovers will cost you the game. Failing to hold onto the ball AGAIN, the Eagles turned the ball over three times with Vick fumbling twice. As if the turnovers weren’t bad enough, we were forced to watch former quarterback Kevin Kolb pick apart the Eagles defense. Arizona’s defense not to be ignored in this beating, pressured Vick most of...

Philadelphia Eagles Week 3 WTF and WTG Awards

Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles took a beating at the hands of Kevin Kolb and the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3, losing 27-6.  Vick was especially beat-up as he took numerous hits throughout the game, including 5 sacks. ESPN stats shows the Cardinals defense getting 13 “QB hits” but that can’t be right, the number must be much higher.  Vick easily took somewhere...

Thank you, Cardinals, for pointing out areas we need to improve upon...Arizona 27, Eagles 6...

The good news is, it's still September, and the Eagles are 2-1...The better news is, our Eagles just got a diagnostic check-up after losing badly to a team which they dominate on paper... and the results pointed directly to the parts of the engine which need either fine-tuning or replacement.A dagger of a TD reception by Larry Fitzgerald in the 1st half... it seemed to be a predictable...
