Key Game Time Decision Injuries for Week 1

Do they not realize the importance of making decisions early to effectively prepare the hundreds of thousands of fantasy owners draped across their keyboards, memorizing the free agent pool? This is not a game people. This is in-the-trenches fantasy reality we're talking about. Pride, chest-thumping one upmanships, and even money hang in the balance. We're frustrated too Wes What would a week in fantasy football be without the inevitable drama of "game time decisions", or the coach "making the call" during pre-game warm-ups? This week we have an abundance of wide receivers keeping us dangling. Two of which will be painful absences to their owners. Anquan Boldin, WR, ARI - It seems Boldin has already decided he doesn't want to risk further injury. but the team is still calling him a, you guessed it, game time decision. This adds value to Steve Breaston (who is probable) and Larry Fitzgerald. Early Doucet is also likely to be out in week one. Kevin Walter, WR, HOU - He's in, he's out, he's the NFL version of the hokey-pokey. Walter went from probable early in the week, back to questionable. As a number two receiver, I'd play it safe and bench him for someone with more certainty. Bernard Berrian, WR, MIN - I believe Berrian will actually play, but given the time he's missed connecting with Favre, I'd still sit him this week to be safe. Deion Branch, WR, SEA - Does anyone remember when this guy was a solid and healthy weekly play? Oh yeah, he was in New England. Perhaps Richard Seymour's leg will fall off against the Raiders this week. Bench him. Even if he plays, he's not likely to do much with Carlson, Houshmandzadeh and Burleson on the field. Wes Welker, WR, NEP - Speaking of New England... This one hurts. Welker is as consistent as they come, and is a diamond in PPR leagues. he has an extra day to get healthy, and I suspect he'll play. Potential Monday night fill ins if he doesn't play: Oakland's Johnnie Higgins or Louis Murphy, and San Diego's Chris Chambers. Anyone else of value is likely already snapped up. Matt Cassel, QB, KCC - Cassel is another GTD, but if you're counting on him this week, your team has worse problems then a last minute decision on this guy. Kyle Orton, QB, DEN - Orton is still listed as a GTD, but it's clear that he will play, unless he cuts himself shaving. Eric Wright, DB, CLE - Wright is likely not going to play this week, which would have been a nice plus for Bernard Berrian, but as it is, they may both miss out on the bump and grind. Charles Tillman, DB - The team is calling his chances of playing 50/50, but Tillman is of borderline IDP value anyway, so if he is on your team, sit him.
