The Baltimore Ravens (5-2) lead the AFC North by one game over the Pittsburgh Steelers. If they plan to stay there many corrections need to be made and fast. Who would have thought that playing the Cleveland Browns in November would be a meaningful game, but with such a slim margin for error, the Ravens can’t take any game lightly. Number 1 Ray Rice, Ray Rice and then some more Ray Rice. The Ravens win when Rice is heavily involved in the game. And as the weather begins to turn in the North, hopefully the ground game will be featured more. The hurry-up offense just doesn’t seem to be working, especially on the road.… Read more

The Ravens need to play more consistently on offense if they want to go far this season. Week 9 preview.

The Ravens need to get things together if they want to win their division.  Joe Flacco played well early but he's not been consistent enough for me.  I don't buy him as a Super Bowl QB. Denver at Cincinnati - The Boncos and Peyton Manning have things rolling now on both sides of the ball.  Don't forget that the Broncos played great defense and special teams...

Ravens Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron Defends Usage Of RB Ray Rice

When offensive coordinator Cam Cameron watched tape of the Ravens’ first seven games during the bye week, one thing repeatedly stood out, and it wasn’t the workload of Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice. “We are at our best obviously when we execute, but when we get everybody involved,” said Cameron. “The more continuity we have, the more guys we keep involved. Obviously, we know...

Ravens QB Joe Flacco Downplays Amount Of Audibles In Houston Game

One day after Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron indicated that one of the reasons Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice only had nine carries against the Houston Texans was audibles limiting his involvement, quarterback Joe Flacco downplayed the play-calling situation. "You know what? Maybe early on in the game," Flacco said when asked if he had audibled out of running...

Ravens will return to winning form vs. Browns

Last we heard from the Ravens, they were getting thumped 43-13 by the Texans. That was on Oct. 21, before the Week 8 bye. Sunday afternoon, the Ravens will still be on the road and they will be taking on a divisional opponent. The Ravens will take the field in Cleveland against the Browns and trying to go 3-0 in the division. If they win, it will also be their 11th consecutive win...

Ravens DE on Trent Richardson: “He’s the hardest back in the NFL to tackle.”

Ray Rice is a self-proclaimed Trent Richardson fan, but it appears he isn’t the only Baltimore player that respects Richardson’s talent. In a BaltimoreRavens.com report, defensive end Pernell McPhee had some comments- “I think he runs the ball harder than anybody in the league,” defensive end Pernell McPhee said. “Not saying he’s the best back in the league, but I...

Talking talking talking (and talking some more) about the Ravens

Not in a long time can I remember this much talk between teams heading into a game as there has been leading up to this Sunday’s match-up between the Browns and Ravens. Trent Richardson is going to exchange jerseys with Ray Rice. The Browns think they’re a different team than the one that lost on Thursday night. Trent Richardson is the hardest player to tackle in the league according...

Jason Miller – Getty Images Follow @Dan Vasta and like Gridiron Grit on Facebook The Ravens are coming off a bye week and they needed it after getting throttled by the Texans. Fantasy Football Week 9 Preview: Ravens at Browns

Baltimore: The Ravens come off their bye week after taking a major beating at the hands of the Houston Texans in Week 7.Baltimore’s vaunted defense has taken its lumps, having suffered major injuries with the biggest being the heart and soul of the defense, Ray Lewis.  Luckily they’ve had the bye to re-group, but now this is a team that will have to be more offense-centric in...

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns: Week 9 NFL Pick

Baltimore Ravens (5-2) at Cleveland Browns (2-6) Road favorites are 42-15 ATS off a bye. That makes sense. Road favorites tend to be very good teams and very good teams tend to be extra focused with a week off. The Browns kind of got screwed over by the schedulers because they have two straight games at home as dogs against a team coming off a bye. Last week, they hosted the Chargers...
