In his most recent Monday Morning Quarterback Column, Sports Illustrated’s Peter King (once again) weighs in on the Colt McCoy situation in Cleveland, this time, giving the third-year quarterback a vote of confidence. “I think the Browns should hang onto Colt McCoy,” writes King. ”I do like Brandon Weeden, but how sure a thing is he? And if he plays poorly over the next two years, you’re happier with Seneca Wallace than Colt McCoy? I’m not.” It was just last week when King had a one-on-one interview with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell where the two men discussed the concussion and subsequent mishandling which would ultimately serve to prematurely end McCoy’s first full season as a the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback. Given McCoy’s record and relative regression in his second season, the Browns went and drafted Weeden to be the quarterback of the team’s future, leaving McCoy’s status in peril and his family’s mouth agape.   • In my opinion, the Browns have always jumped the gun when it comes to Quarterbacks. They see Weeden doing great right now but the minute he gets on the line, who the heck knows what he going to do???? By then it may be too late and McCoy may already be gone. Then they're left with Wallace who definitely is NOT a team player. He'd probably left his own mother take a hit for him if it would advance his career! You can't base McCoy's last season's stat's on what he'll do this year. The guy was clocked by an idiot that should not even be playing in this league. Mark my words, Harrison won't be playing much longer. He'll either be suspended permanently or he'll be in jail for manslaughter. The league needs to stop him!

    Keep McCoy - Get him a good Coach!!! Better yet - get all new coaches!

  • Keep McCoy. What real chance have the Browns given the guy...no real line, no real receivers and I'm still waiting for a coach that is truly, unquestionably talented. As soon as the Browns trade McCoy, Weeden will blow out a knee (or something) and we all lose (again). I say let the two go at it and let the best guy win, the other stay active and trade Wallace since he just isn't starter material anyway.
