Kevin Kolb was a hot commodity filling in for Donovan McNabb against the Baltimore Ravens in 2009 and playing lights out. Kolb's first NFL start was against the New Orleans Saints due to a continued injury to McNabb. He threw for 391 yards on 31 completions and made his second start in place of McNabb, throwing for 327 yards and two touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs. Kolb became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for more than 300 yards in each of his first two career starts. Kolb was traded to the Cardinals in 2011, and Arizona thought they were getting their quarterback of the future. Yesterday seemed so long ago, Following a quarterback battle, Kolb lost his starting position to John Skelton for the 2012 NFL season. Kolb originally signed for 6 years / $62.11 million with the Arizona Cardinals. He is making $9 million in 2013. That’s a high number that team president Michael Bidwill would like to get under control. “It’s a big number and given the productivity and the questions about durability and everything, that’s something that I think the reality is we need to sit down and discuss,” team president Michael Bidwill said in interview with KTAR, via Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.   var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
