YouTube.com A huge crash at the end of the NASCAR Nationwide race on Saturday at Daytona International Speedway sent car parts through and over the track fence in front of the grandstand. According to a post on the Volusia County Professional Firefighters Association Facebook page, at least 10 fans needed medical treatment as a result of the crash. The post indicated two patients were transported to Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach, with one patient triggering a trauma alert — meaning the medical center’s trauma team should respond and that the patient is potentially in critical condition. The bulk of the damage was caused by Kyle Larson’s No. 32 car impacting the catch fence on the front stretch of the track during the multi-car wreck. The jolt shook the ESPN camera mounted on the fence and left Larson’s car torn in half — with the engine in the stands. See the horrifying crash below: NASCAR President Mike Helton will address the media at 6 p.m. (ET). You can see exactly how far the debris traveled in these pictures from Twitter.
