According to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, there is a good chance that Jets CB Kyle Wilson and WR Stephen Hill are entering seasons that could be their last opportunity to put it together. Cimini has previously mentioned that Wilson could be nearing the end of his time with the Jets, so this isn’t a huge surprise. Wilson, 26, was taken with the No. 29 overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Jets. While hasn’t missed a game in his four-year career, he has yet to live up to his draft status as he’s registered a limited number of impact plays over the course of career. Wilson is entering the final year of his contract ans is set to make $1.065 million for the 2014 season. Last year, he totaled 26 tackles and two pass defense and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 77 cornerback in the league. As for Hill, he still has two years remaining on his contract with base salaries of $718,394 and $932,590 coming his way during this time. The Jets actually traded their fifth and seven-round selections during the 2012 NFL Draft to move up to No. 43 overall and select Hill. However, he has yet to show signs of being a reliable receiver, even though he was widely considered to be raw coming out of Georgia Tech. “Three years is ample time for a player, even a raw talent like Hill, to prove he belongs,” writes Cimini. Last year, Hill appeared in 12 games and caught 24 passes for 342 yards receiving and a touchdown.
