Found June 10, 2014 on NFL Trade Rumors:
According to ESPN’s James Walker, Dolphins RB Lamar Miller continues to work with the first-team offense for the third straight week and has been making more plays than free agent acquisition Knowshon Moreno. Walker adds that it appears as though Moreno is out of shape, which coincides with what we heard last week. Dolphins HC Joe Philbin sounded very optimistic that Miller could be in for a big third year. “He’s had a very good camp. …This is the time as a third-year player that you’re ready to make a big contribution,” Philbin said of Miller. Moreno, 26, is coming off of an impressive 2013 season with the Broncos, but even with a solid performance last year, he found a limited amount of interest on the open market. Miami eventually signed him to a one-year, $3 million contract that included just $1.25 million guaranteed, so it’s not as though they would have a hard time benching him if others are outplaying him. There is still time for him to turn things around in offseason work...

Lamar Miller creating a lot of buzz at Dolphins OTA’S

One of the biggest camp competitions is for who will be the Dolphins number one running back to start the season. It was assumed newly signed free agent running back Knowshown Moreno would be the lead back in Miami but early on in OTA’s that doesn’t appear to be the case. As you can see below, Lamar Miller is creating a lot of buzz .@PFF rated Moreno worse than Miller in yds...

Is Knowshon Moreno already on the chopping block in Miami?

Knowshon Moreno the former Denver Broncos running back, has not had the greatest experience in Miami.  The Miami Dolphins signed Knowshon Moreno to upgrade a rushing attack that ranked 26th in the NFL with Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas last season. Moreno sat behind both Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas in practice.  That was the pecking order according to NFL.com.  Head...

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill not named top-20 in the NFL

When cover32 released its list of the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL today, there were plenty of people angry about their favorite team’s signal caller not making the list. It made for a spirited debate in the “Comments” section below the article. And it also begged another question: How close was Mr. Irate Fan’s QB to making the list? To provide an answer, the editors at...

Today’s Dolphins OTA Twitter reactions

This morning, the Miami Dolphins got outside in the heat and humidity and continued their organized team activities.  Judging by the tweets shared by various Dolphins beat reporters, the Dolphins defense seemed to dominate the right side of the line.  Specifically, Cam Wake appeared to take over the session dominating first round draft pick Ja’wuan James. Said Chris Perkins of...

Dolphins lining up Mike Wallace in the backfield

It sounds like the Dolphins have some interesting plans for wide receiver Mike Wallace this coming season. Why is Mike Wallace excited about Miami's new offense? He told me he caught a TD out of backfield last week. Plays wide, in slot, backfield. — Jeff Darlington (@JeffDarlington) June 9, 2014 Hopefully Miami finally gets their moneys worth with Wallace.   var ACE_AR =...

A confident Jamar Taylor ready for 2014

After an injury-marred rookie season, Miami Dolphins cornerback Jamar Taylor is looking a lot quicker and focused for 2014. The 2nd-round pick came to the Dolphisn with a pre-existing kidney ailment and also battled a sports hernia early on, sidelining him for most of the offseason. He didn't play much throughout the regular season (only 40 snaps), but now he's ready to...

Lamar Miller pushes ahead of Knowshon Moreno on depth chart

While new Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno was off to an unimpressive start due to being out of shape, his main competition Lamar Miller is having a strong offseason. Miller has worked with the Dolphins' first-team offense for three weeks in a row; in the meantime Moreno has stayed with the second team.

Grading the Draft: Miami Dolphins edition

Sports Ruckus writer Justin Walters has graded the entire AFC East, and while some Dolphin fans might not like his grading, he has some very valid points.  Let’s see what the Dolphins finished with. I have looked at Miami’s draft from every angle; front ,backwards,  sideways, man I even turned the computer upside down. Only thing I could say is […] The post Grading the...

Marino Is Still “The Man”

I’ll write and speak in jest of almost anyone on the Miami Dolphins (or anything for that matter) and it’s good natured mostly.  Growing up in a house with 3 sisters, I honed my skills.  It’s the kind of person I am, and I’m comfortable with it.  I accept that it may rub some people (and family members) the wrong way. I’ll call out Miami Dolphins owner Steven Ross and...

Dolphins TE Charles Clay can expect more attention this season

Dolphins tight end Charles Clay had a breakout season last year with a career-best 69 receptions for a career-best 759 yards and a career-best six touchdowns. And people noticed. Now, one of Clay's biggest challenges for the coming season will be getting used to the attention he'll command on and off the field. Clay's education will continue in this week's three...

Dolphins Hope Nothing Holds Jordan Back in 2014

Judging by the looks of things last season, Dion Jordan was a wasted pick in the Miami Dolphins 2013 Draft. The sad thing is the team, under the guidance of former general manager Jeff Ireland, traded from the 12th slot in the Draft to third, where everyone thought they would take tackle Lane Johnson out of Oklahoma. Johnson was bypassed for the defensive end out of Oregon and left...

Faster Than a Speeding Bullet, it’s the Miami Dolphins Offense

Trying to mesh with his new team, veteran Miami Dolphins cornerback Cortland Finnegan is just stoked with the speediness of the Dolphins’ offense. If this doesn’t have us shaking our heads wondering what type of air Finnegan is breathing in Miami, I’d be surprised. “I’ve never seen anything this fast,”- Cortland Finnegan on the @MiamiDolphins' offense. http://t...

Wagering on Dolphins’ Moreno to win MVP named one of biggest sucker bets

Last week, the latest odds to win the Most Valuable Player award for the 2014 NFL season were released, with some of the usual suspects atop the list. But just because the wise guys in Vegas tend to know what they’re doing, that doesn’t necessarily mean all bets are created equal; in fact, many of them are nothing more than sucker bets, designed to get fans to lay down money...

Miami Dolphins Top 30 Greatest Players of All Time

#2813496 / gettyimages.com Thirty years ago was 1984.  But in Dolphinland, this year was known as the sophomore year of the Golden Boy, Dan Marino.  Big expectations were put on the shoulders of the young twentysomething from Pittsburgh.  And he delivered early on.  He brought them to a Super Bowl in the 1984 campaign, but it has been a long 30 years since.  Let’s take a...
