According to BaltimoreRavens.com, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh expects cornerback Lardarius Webb to be ready for training camp. Webb hasn’t fully returned to action after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in Week 6 of last season. The Ravens’ top cornerback, who received a contract extension before last year, came back strong after an ACL tear in his other knee during his rookie season, so he has a track record of bouncing back. Head Coach John Harbaugh said he expects Webb to be ready for training camp. His quickness and change of direction looked good while working in individual drills during minicamp.   [Photo from BaltimoreRavens.com] Need NFL Tickets? Spagnuolo believes the Ravens defense can be special

Steve Spagnuolo was hired by the Ravens to be a defensive assistant a few short months ago. Spagnuolo believes that this defense could be one of the best he’s ever coached. “This is as good a looking football team that I’ve ever seen. I’m talking about physically and stout.” Spagnuolo is even comparing the Ravens defense to the 2007 Giants defense. “I had little visions...

Spagnuolo on Ravens: 'as good a looking football team that I've ever seen'

Steve Spangnuolo landed on his feet after being fired by the New Orleans Saints in January, finding work as senior defensive assistant for the Super Bowl Champ Baltimore Ravens. If his assessment is accurate, the team should be repeating as champions. "Defensively, wow," he said, via the team's website. "I had little visions of the Giants' front that I...

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb is expected to be back in time for training camp. Webb injured his kneee during his rookie season, but came back strong to develop a reputation as a formidable corner...

Bernard Pierce "doing okay" after bad trip in Philly...

Bernard Pierce, the 2nd-year running back for the Ravens out of Temple, decided to go home to Philly this past week to visit with family and friends. In a bizarre flip of the current coinage of NFL news headlines, an NFL player became the victim of violent crime. NFL's strongest arm belongs to ...

Pitchers have speed guns. Runners have stopwatches. But how do you measure who has the strongest arm in the NFL? How about two pieces of anatomy? Specifically, fingers and Jaws. For Ravens tight end Ed Dickson, there's no doubt who has the strongest arm in football -- and he has to be ready for it on every throw. "You've always got to make sure you have your hands...

Baltimore Ravens: Can Flacco live up to the hype?

Following an outstanding playoff run resulting in a Super Bowl victory, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was rewarded with a six-year, $120.6 million contract. Unfortunately for Flacco, accepting a large sum of money like that will be putting him under a microscope (more so than an NFL quarterback already is subject to).  The Super Bowl XLVII MVP has spent a good part of...

Following the departure of Ray Lewis to retirement and Ed Reed to free agency, the Baltimore Ravens were due some good news on the defensive front.  They got it on Monday, when it was announced that cornerback Ladarius Webb will be back for training camp in late July following his anterior cruciate ligament injury in late October. Defensive co-ordinator Dean Pees, speaking to Comcast...
