Larry Fitzgerald is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.  No one will argue that. The travesty is that he is not universally considered the best receiver in the game, which is of no fault of his own.  He has made it to six Pro-Bowls, has been an All-Pro on four separate occasions, and led the NFC in receiving yards in 2008.  That same year he would lead the Cardinals to an NFC championship, and they would just fall short in the Super Bowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers despite Fitzgerald catching two touchdowns in the game (including a score to put them ahead with 2:27 left in the game). Larry Fitzgerald has over 700 receptions and 10,000 yards, as well as 77 touchdowns, at the young age of 29.  He is fourth all time in receiving yards per game (76.0), trailing only Tory Holt, Isaac Bruce, and Marvin Harrison.  He is the current franchise leader in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns for the Arizona Cardinals.… Read more

Vince Young to Fitzy: I can help

Vince Young has joined the ranks of the other once-great athletes who have to beg for a job on Twitter. See what he said to Larry Fitzgerald.

Kevin Kolb still isn’t healthy

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb told Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com that his broken ribs still aren’t completely healed. “A lot of the (slow recovery) goes back to the injury itself,” Kolb said. “The way that my ribs are broken, they aren’t completely healed. “Whenever the cartilage broke, (the ribs) are laying underneath my sternum. That’s how they are trying...

Larry Fitzgerald Continues To Disappoint vs. Seattle

In his most frustrating game yet, Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald only caught one pass on 11 targets Sunday against the Seahawks in a 58-0 loss.Fantasy Spin:Arizona's QB situation is one of the worst we've ever seen and it's destroying Fitzgerald's fantasy value. Fitzgerald has six receptions on 37 targets over his last four games and is probably longing for the...

Are You There Larry? It’s Me, Vince.

It’s no secret that the Arizona Cardinals need a solid starting quarterback. After watching today’s drubbing at the hands of the Seahawks, former Titans/Eagles/Bills quarterback Vince Young took to Twitter to see if he could find some work. Naturally, he figured Larry Fitzgerald would be the best guy to talk to.  He also figured Twitter was the best way to go about soliciting...

Cardinals Injury Report: Kevin Kolb, John Skelton, Calais Campbell

While Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb has been able to return to practice in a limited capacity this week, the team has already named QB John Skelton as its starter for this weekend’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Kolb continues to recover from a rib injury he sustained against the Buffalo Bills in Oct. While he was able to return to practice in a limited...

Cards make it clear: Time for Whisenhunt to go

Theres no sense belaboring this. Michael Bidwill should fire coach Ken Whisenhunt, and he should do it now. It will be an empty gesture. Nobodys going to win with the offense the Cardinals trot on the field each week. Nobodys going to win with John Skelton and Ryan Lindley at quarterback. Nobodys going to win with eight turnovers. It will be a reactionary gesture, too. But you...

Beanie Wells Expected To Play

Cardinals RB Beanie Wells (knee) is expected to play Sunday against Seattle despite being listed as questionable. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPNFantasy Spin:Wells is only averaging 2.4 ypc on 61 carries this season and had just 22 yards on 15 rushes last week against the Jets. Leave him on the bench.

QB play has NFC West (except Cards) on rise

TEMPE, Ariz. Early Doucet remembers when achieving mediocrity gave you a good chance to win the NFC West. Since the Cardinals joined the division before the 2002 season, four of the 10 division winners have had a 9-7 record or worse -- capped by Seattles 7-9 mark in 2010 -- and only three division winners over that stretch have managed more than 10 wins. The NFC West hasnt produced...

Vince Young tells Larry Fitzgerald that he can help the Cardinals

Free agent quarterback Vince Young is so desperate to play in the NFL again he tweeted Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald telling him talk to head coach Ken Wisenhunt because he believes he can help them. @larryfitzgerald you know I can help tell coach. — Vince Young (@VinceYoung) December 9, 2012 If Young was still a viable NFL quarterback he wouldn’t have been cut by...

John Skelton will get start

Let’s face it, Arizona’s single shining moment of QB excellence was between 2005 & 2009, when Kurt Warner was under center. Before and since it has been middling at best and a disaster at worst, with the 2012 season shaping up to be a prime example of the latter. With his team currently mired in an eight-game losing streak after starting the season 4-0, coach Ken Whisenhunt...
