It’s about time to head into the season, and you know what that means. Fantasy Football talk is in full swing. Drafts are coming, Rankings are here, and the players themselves are talking about it.

Larry Fitzgerald of the Cardinals plays the game on the computer and in real life. He knows a thing or two about production in Fantasy Football and says that he’d draft Calvin Johnson of the Lions over himself because of the QB situation in the desert.

Larry Fitzgerald just said he would take Calvin Johnson over himself in fantasy football because of QB situation. Awk-ward.

Well, that oughta make Kevin Kolb and John Skelton feel real good.

We know that Matt Stafford had an electrifying year last season, and having one of the best receivers in the game helped him too. But, we do know that Larry is speaking the truth here, Stafford is better than Kolb and Skelton put together.

The Cardinals have yet to announce who will head into Training Camp as their starter, but at least Larry knows who will be receiving on his fantasy squad!

Larry Fitzgerald: Draft Megatron over me in fantasy, he has a better QB

Getty Images Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald said that he would draft Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson over himself, since he has a better quarterback. Wow, if that’s not taking a shot at Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb, I don’t know what is. Pass rush tops Cardinals' defensive agenda

The accolades are pouring in for the Cardinals defense. It has youth. It has speed. It has stars. It has a hot new coordinator at the helm, and it has a king-sized chip on its shoulder, fueled by the every-day demeanor of its leaders, Darnell Dockett and Adrian Wilson. While it may be premature to anoint a unit on the strength of a half a seasons worth of work, there are reasons...

Cards look for Kolb to prove himself at camp

For the second consecutive training camp, all eyes will be on Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb as he attempts to justify the hefty price the club paid to acquire him. Unlike last year, Kolb wont arrive in Flagstaff with the deck stacked against him. Hes had a full offseason to heal a foot injury and a concussion. Hell have the playbook before he arrives. He participated in the...

2012 Arizona Cardinals: Projected Starting Lineups

There is a lot of  optimism among Cardinals fans heading into the season. Mostly because of the strong 7-2 run in the last nine weeks of the season. There are also a lot of questions heading into the season. The biggest one of course is the QB battle between Kevin Kolb and John Skelton for who become starting QB. But their is also many other questions/position battles around camp...

Arizona Cardinals: John Skelton Better Option Than Kolb

The best quarterback to have played on the Cardinals in recent memory stated that he thinks Kevin Kolb will be handed the starting gig once all of the dust settles in Arizona. While Kolb may be the favorite to win the job, it would appear that John Skelton is a formidable competitor. The win-loss record of each QB last year really doesn’t matter at this point; the defining factor...

Joey Porter Retiring as a Steeler

Former Steeler OLB Joey Porter has decided to hang up the cleats.  Porter spent 13 seasons in the NFL.  He was drafted by the Steelers in the third round of the 1999 draft.  Porter did not take long to make his mark.  He started in his second season with the team and recorded 10.5 sacks for the season.  Porter continued to start until his days a Steeler ended.  He racked up...

Five on the ground: undervalued fantasy running backs for 2012

It doesn’t matter if you are drafting or auctioning. You need targets. In any given round or price point you need guys that will produce above their perceived value. You need guys who have more potential than their position in fantasy football rankings would suggest. I’ve given you undervalued receivers to target. Now here are a few running backs that fit the same bill. You...

Joey Porter plans on retiring this year as a Steeler

In a conversation with Ian Rappaport of NFL.com, former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter says he is planning on retiring this year as a member of his original NFL team. Porter, drafted by Pittsburgh in the 3rd round of the 1999 draft, said he has already talked with Steelers President Art Rooney II and GM Kevin Colbert. “I already talked to the Steelers, put some...

Joey Porter to Retire as a Pittsburgh Steeler

After suffering a knee injury last season, Joey Porter, whose career was already on the decline, was rumored to be considering retirement after 13 seasons in the league for the Steelers, Dolphins and Cardinals. With the emergence of Sam Acho and O’Brien Schofield as up and coming outside linebackers for the Cardinals, Porter was not assured of a roster spot. In announcing his...

Joey Porter says he’s retiring as a Steeler

Getty Images Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter told Ian Rapoport of NFL.com that he plans on retiring as a memeber of the Steelers organization. “That’s where I started at,” Porter told me on the driving range before a practice round of the American Century Celebrity Golf Classic in South Lake Tahoe. “It’ll be an honor to go out there and retire as a Steeler...
