Veteran RB Larry Johnson is trying to set the NFL record for the most signings by NFL teams during a regular season. Johnson will be brought in by the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday. According to Joe Reedy on Twitter, it is confirmed by the Bengals. Cincinnati is exploring all running back options in order to try to find a replacement for RB Cedric Benson, who will be serving a three-game suspension from the NFL. If signed, this will be the second term with the Bengals for Johnson. He spent 7 games with Cincinnati in 2009, after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnson spent a few weeks on the Washington Redskins roster last season, before being released early in the regular season in 2010. If Johnson is signed, this will be the third time he will be signed this season. The Miami Dolphins brought Johnson in and signed him in the preseason. He was then released, and then re-signed.
