Las Vegas Raiders will not be able to bring back cornerback and unsung hero Amik Robertson
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Las Vegas Raiders knew they would need to grab some cornerbacks in the draft and possibly free agency, but now it's even more evident they will have to, as they have lost one of their better ones from 2023.

Last year, the defense started badly but ended on a dominant run. They finished as one of the top defenses in the league, and a large reason is that Patrick Graham was able to do what he wanted and the secondary started to step up.

In those first few games, one cornerback really stood out—Amik Robertson. He was the unsung hero of a few games, such as the game against the Green Bay Packers, where his interception of Jordan Love won the game. He also had an interception against the New York Giants.

Now it's clear Robertson will not be wearing silver and black next season, although he will still be wearing silver in some capacity.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Detroit Lions will sign Robertson to a two-year, $9 million deal.

Robertson is getting paid, and he deserves it. Not to mention, he will likely play a significant role on the Lion's defense and on a team that will compete for a Super Bowl appearance next season.
