(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By KRISTIE RIEKEN AP Sports Writer The Houston Texans should have been spending this week enjoying a bye.
Instead, a late-season collapse where they lost three of their last four games has left them with a short week to fix many mistakes before hosting Cincinnati in a first-round playoff game Saturday.
Houston had two chances to secure a bye and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. Consecutive losses to the Vikings and Colts to end the regular season kept the Texans from getting either.
Coach Gary Kubiak believes his team will turn things around this week. He says, ''We didn't handle the end of the season the way we wanted to handle it, but that doesn't mean that we can't handle these playoffs the way we want to handle it. We understand how we have to play.''

The Houston Texans controlled their own fate and threw it to the wind. If the Texans won they would win the number one seed in the AFC, now if the New England Patriots win, the Texans could slide to the third seed if Denver also wins.

I saw a monkey smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer in Cancun, Mexico so not much surprises me with these things. This Monkey riding a dog at the Colts game was just hilarious though. The thing is so small, yet it looks like warrior riding a horse back in the day. Just good stuff. Check out the video below. Chuck Pagano also made his return to the NFL in this game...
Arian Foster along with thousands of other Colts fans paid tribute to coach Chuck Pagano in his return to football today. Pagano has been out all year fighting cancer and came back for their final game of the regular season. Foster had a 13 yard touchdown run in the third quarter, then headed over to the Chuck Strong sign and did his patented prayer celebration. An even bigger...

In a game full of special moments, including immense support from Colts fans and a special pre-game presentation on the Lucas Oil Stadium jumbo-tron that brought Chuck Pagano to tears, there was plenty of good feeling. However, one...
The Houston Texans choked. Simple as that. If the Texans do not win the AFC and fall to either New England or Denver on the road, they only have themselves to blame. Two games they had! Two games (in Edward Rooney from Ferris Bueller voice). One against the one dimensional Vikings and the … Continue reading »
