Jacksonville Jaguars veteran wide receiver Laurent Robinson got a chance to speak with rookie Justin Blackmon and he took the time to deliver a simple message after his recent DUI arrest.

“Just tell him you gotta grow up,” Robinson said. “You know, NFL players are targets, you gotta stay low-key, low profile and you know just, everybody makes mistakes and you know he’s gotta learn from it and just keep doing better.”

Robinson says that Blackmon’s been playing with more of a chip on shoulder lately.

“Playing with a little chip on his shoulder,” Robinson said. “Little mad about the whole situation. He’s going to be a pro. We’re going to help him out along the way and he’ll be fine.”

What Morons In Jacksonville Are Behind “Jaguaring?”

I know Tebowing is probably the last thing you want to hear about these days, but hear me out with this one. The city of Jacksonville, desperate for attention (because apparently Justin Blackmon isn’t cutting it), decided to create its own gimmicky stance called “Jaguaring”. Thankfully the Jaguars organization is not a part of this video or idea, but you can damn well bet...

Maurice Jones-Drew in Tough Spot on Contract, But Time for Paying Running Backs Big Bucks Is Past

Maurice Jones-Drew is the Jacksonville Jaguars' pre-eminent running back. He's carried the load, at least in part, for six seasons. He's averaged 4.6 yards a carry and has three straight years of more than 1,000 yards, including 1,606 last season. He has 62 career touchdowns. One problem: It's 2012. Jones-Drew is making headlines by asking for a new contract and sitting...

Blackmon's embarrassing DUI video

Check out the police surveillance video. Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Justin Blackmon told Stillwater (Okla.) Police that “I’m literally not a drinker,” after he blew a 0.24 and a 0.26 during a breathalyzer test. That’s more than three times the legal limit of 0.08.

Maurice Jones Drew skipping Jaguars’ mandatory minicamp

Maurice Jones Drew has made it very clear this offseason that he wants a new deal and today he made it even clearer. MJD was not present for the start of the Jaguars’ 3 day mandatory minicamp today and is not expected to attend at all, which officially makes him a holdout. The Jaguars can fine him 60 thousand for missing all 3 days, but that money is a drop in the ocean compared...

Daily Haze: Maurice Jones-Drew’s Holdout and Fantasy Owners

Holdout. A compound word no fantasy owner wants to hear associated with his/her first round draft pick. But that’s just what Maurice Jones-Drew’s owners are going to hear a lot of this summer. MJD wants to ink a new deal after leading the league in rushing yards in 2011. He pretty much is the entire Jacksonville offense. And while I’m being honest, he’s pretty much the only...

Fantasy Spin on MJD Possible Holdout…

It looks like Maurice Jones Drew is going to be a no-show for the team's mandatory mini-camp next week even at the price of a $60,000 penalty - although that's not a lot of cash considering both what he is getting paid and what he wants to get paid. MJD believes that he has out played the five year contract he signed in 2009 for $31 million. Normally we come down hard on...
