Follow @MarcusDugan Well, the battle at the bottom of the Colts’ receiver depth chart just changed dramatically.  The NFL has suspended LaVon Brazill for the 2014 season for another violation of the league’s substance abuse policy. Brazill played well after returning from his four game suspension last season, splitting time with fellow backups Da’Rick Rogers and Griff Whalen to finish with 12 catches for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns in 10 games (He was not targeted his first two weeks back). Brazill had the most experience of the Colts’ trio of young receivers, possibly giving him the inside track on the fifth receiver spot (behind Hilton, Wayne, Nicks, and Moncrief). Now, Rogers and Whalen look like the frontrunners for the last roster spot at receiver, provided one of the UDFA rookies doesn’t blow everybody away in training camp.  Joining them in the fight for that last roster spot are 2013 practice squad receiver Josh Lenz (6-0, 194), and rookies Ryan Lankford (5-11, 163), Greg Moore (6-4, 197), Eric Thomas (6-1, 225), and Tony Washington (5-11, 190). It’s an unfortunate situation for a player who was caught making bad choices, but the NFL moves ever forward.  And, for the Colts, there is now one less player fighting for that last receiver position.
