Inside The Panthers:
The most important aspect of the Panthers' inactive list this morning is who is not on it: starting strongside LB and leading tackler James Anderson.
Anderson was questionable after rolling his ankle during Thursday's practice. He did not practice Friday, although coach Ron Rivera had predicted he would be fine.
The Panthers have been without their other two starting LBs since the first two weeks of the season after Jon Beason and Thomas Davis went down. They could ill afford to have Anderson out, especially facing Tennessee RB Chris Johnson.
Carolina's inactives are: QB Jimmy Clausen, CB Brandon Hogan, RB Mike Goodson, LB Jason Phillips, TE Richie Brockel, OT Lee Ziemba and DT Frank Kearse.
Goodson (hamstring) and Phillips (calf) are hurt; Hogan was activated from the physically unable to perform list.
Titans starting LB Barrett Ruud (groin) was the most signifcant player on Tennessee's inactive list.

Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Cam Newton was added to the team's injury report Saturday as probable after developing stiffness in his right throwing shoulder.
A team spokesman says he's expected to play after having an MRI on Friday.
Newton took all the reps last week in practice, but developed some soreness in the arm Friday.

Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Cam Newton was added to the injury report on Saturday.
The top overall pick of the draft, Newton was listed as probable for Sunday's home game against the Tennessee Titans with stiffness in his right throwing shoulder.
Newton, who is expected to play on Sunday, has completed 174 of 287 passes for 2,393 yards and nine touchdowns. The 22-year...
The Panthers have morphed into a pass-heavy team under offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski, but they still have the league's No. 8-ranked ground game. That's in large part due to WR Steve Smith stretching the field vertically and getting the defensive backs to turn their backs on QB Cam Newton.
The Panthers did next to nothing in the second quarter against a Titans' defense that took an interesting approach. Tennessee blitzed rookie QB Cam Newton on first down, then would drop back in zone coverage on second and third downs and allow Newton to complete all the underneath passes he wanted.
The approach resulted in several second-and-long situations for the Panthers....
The Titans jumped on the Panthers early in this game and they never looked back. Marc Mariani returned a punt 79 yards for a TD early in the game for the Titans and they never looked back. Cam Newton completed 23 of 40 passes for 212 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT. He also carried the ball 7 times for 55 yards (7.9 ypc) in this game. DeAngelo Williams had another so-so...
If the Panthers are going to pull out a victory against Tennessee today, it's going to take a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback as the Titans hold a 20-3 lead entering the fourth quarter at Bank of America Stadium.
The good news for the Panthers in the third quarter is they finally scored, scratching out a 29-yard Olindo Mare field goal that was set up by Chris Gamble...
Any Saturday addition to the injury report is usually a bad sign, but it appears Panthers fans shouldn’t be too worried about Cam Newton. The team added Newton as probable with a shoulder injury on Saturday. The news comes as a surprise because he practiced fully all week. Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer reports…
The Carolina Panthers not only lost their game on Sunday, but they also lost their composure on the last drive of the game. That didn't sit well with coach Ron Rivera, who said Monday in a news conference that he was "embarrassed" by Carolina's 30-3 loss to Tennessee. His comments echo almost exactly what I thought of the last couple of minutes, so most of this column...
