Fox Sports Florida:
Has Quincy Black played his last game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? It's unknown.
On Thursday, Bucs general manager Mark Dominik told the Tampa Bay Times that the future of the six-year linebacker, taken out of New Mexico in the third round 68th overall in the 2007 draft, is questionable after the player underwent nerve graft surgery at the end of January. Dominik said it won't be known if the procedure is successful for a number of months.
Black, 28, has had restricted movement in his left arm since a scary collision with San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews in Tampa Bay's Week 10 victory at Raymond James Stadium. Black was immobilized and carted off the field, and he was placed on injured reserve two days later.
"Don't think we're ready to make any comment at this time," Black's agent, Harold Lewis, wrote in an e-mail to FOXSportsFlorida.com. "Probably need to meet with team first."
Black, a 6-foot-2, 240-pound Chicago native, has 283 tackles and 3.5 sacks for his career. He had a career-high 84 tackles in 2009.
Black is set to make 5.5 million in base pay this season.

LeGarrette Blount took the league by storm his rookie season after breaking 1,000 yards rushing in just 13 games. Last season, just two years after his rookie campaign, Blount found himself sitting on the bench and barely sniffing the field. Much of the reason why Blount rarely saw the field was because Doug Martin was unstoppable in 2012. Martin was even named to the Pro Bowl...
Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik announced today that the team will not use a franchise or transition tag on any player, including defensive end Michael Bennett. Instead, they appear to be giving the starting spot to Da’Quan Bowers. “Da’Quan is a guy I thought continued to accelerate his play throughout the end of the season,” Dominik said via the Tampa Bay Times...
If you have followed the Buccaneers the past few seasons, you would see why Josh Freeman is one of the most talked about player in pewter and red. So it’s only fitting head coach Greg Schiano would be asked about Tampa Bay’s young quarterback. “Josh Freeman is our quarterback,” Schiano said today at the NFL Scouting Combine. “I believe with Josh Freeman we can accomplish...

FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
Statistically speaking fantasy football wise, Josh Freeman had his best year yet in the NFL during 2012. The problem is that the NFL is not fantasy football and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not going to sit back and hope that he continues...
At the conclusion of the 2012 regular season, Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie head coach Greg Schiano didn’t sound too convinced that Josh Freeman would be the long term answer at quarterback for the club. The team stated that they would not extend his contract as he heads into the final year of his rookie deal. On Thursday, Schiano changed his tune a bit, claiming that he believes...
It could be a glimpse of more to come. Coach Greg Schianos first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw career passing numbers for quarterback Josh Freeman and the breakouts of rookie running back Doug Martin and veteran wide receiver Vincent Jackson. The production resulted in the Bucs finishing ninth in total offense (363.8 yards per game), 10th in pass offense (248.9 ypg) and...
