Leftwich Disses Daunte

New Steelers backup QB Bryon Leftwich had a little message for Daunte Culpepper, who was up for the same job but lost it when he insisted on being given a chance to compete for the starting role: You have no choice [but to accept a backup role] when you have [Roethlisberger] here. Only a fool would come here believing you have a chance to start when you have him here. They've got Ben here and Ben's a hell of a quarterback. He flat-out called Daunte a fool.  Daunte will probably respond now by quoting Gandhi.  I honestly think we may never see Daunte in the NFL again.  Teams may just decide he's not worth all the aggravation and stupidity.  I sometimes think he hung out with Dennis Green too much in the beginning…he became infected with Green's crazy stubborn delusional tendencies.  He and Dennis should go off somewhere and start their own league.  They can draft players from Oz, Middle Earth and Candy Land.
