Injured Buccaneers running back LeGarrette Blount returned to practice on Thursday.Fantasy Spin:Blount suffered a stinger in Week 1's win over the Panthers. He should be fine to play on Sunday though he's of little value in fantasy now that rookie Doug Martin has claimed ownership of the team's starting halfback role. He ran the ball just three times for eight yards Sunday compared to Martin's 24 carries for 95 yards.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Greg Schiano: We Need to Bring Our Best Game Just to Have a Chance

It's commonplace to hear about how disrespected the New York Giants are by both fans and national media. Despite two Super Bowl championships over the last five seasons, the idea that they are often overlooked is relatively accurate and hard to dispute. But when Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano met with the media on Wednesday afternoon, he offered heaping praise...

Is CB Myron Lewis on the outs in Tampa Bay?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went into last Sunday's season opener against the Carolina Panthers down three cornerbacks. E.J. Biggers, who was Tampa Bay's nickel corner last season, is still nursing a foot injury. Anthony Gaitor injured his hamstring a week ago and still needs time to heal. But the third corner that was inactive – Myron Lewis – was a healthy scratch....

Bennett brothers brace for Sunday battle

Whenever Michael Bennett got into a fight growing up in Texas, his little brother, Martellus, always seemed to be around to help out. That's the way the Bennetts are. They are always pulling for each other, ready to lend a hand. This Sunday it's a different story. When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) come to New Jersey to face the New York Giants (0-1) at MetLife Stadium...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Ronde Barber named NFC Defensive Player of the Week

The NFL's current Iron Man might be considered a dinosaur to the rest of the league, but that doesn't mean he can't still play at a high level. Week 2 Fantasy Football Preview: Buccaneers vs Giants

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New York GiantsThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) defeated the Carolina Panthers in week 1. Doug Martin played well and looks to do it again against a defense that gave up 143 rushing yards last week. Mike Williams had a better game then the "number one" Vincenty Jackson, a trend that could be more common then most think. Josh Freeman continued his preseason...

Few secrets in Giants-Buccaneers matchup

Theoretically, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who will come into MetLife Stadium to face the 0-1 Giants this weekend, should be fairly easy to prepare for. After all, the Bucs are led by former Rutgers University head coach Greg Schiano, who tabbed a pair of former assistant coaches from Tom Coughlin's staff, Mike Sullivan and Bill Sheridan, to be his offensive and defensive coordinators...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New York Giants: Week 2 NFL Pick

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) at New York Giants (0-1) I had the Buccaneers as one of my underrated teams coming into the season. In 2010, everything went right for this team. They had an easy schedule and went 9-1 against sub .500 teams (1-5 against everyone else). They turned the ball over just 19 times and after regressing 6 wins from 2008 to 2009, predictably bounced back. Teams...

Tuck has hands full with Trueblood

There are NFL right tackles renowned for their technique and footwork. And then there is Tampa Bay's Jeremy Trueblood. "He's a mauler," said New York Giants left defensive end Justin Tuck, who will be aligned over the seven-year NFL veteran during Sunday's home game against the Buccaneers (1 p.m. ET, FOX). "He's a guy who's going to try and out...
