According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, the Texans fear that starting quarterback Matt Leinart sustained a broken collarbone in the second quarter of today’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Leinart, who is starting in place of an injured Matt Schaub, was injured when he was driven to the ground by Jaguars defensive end Jeremy Mincey. In his first start since the 2009 season, Leinart had completed 10-of-13 pass attempts for 57 yards and a 20-yard touchdown pass to backup tight end Joel Dreessen prior to his injury. Schaub was placed on injured reserve and veteran Kellen Clemens was added to the active roster. However, Clemens is inactive today, leaving 2011 fifth-round pick T.J. Yates to close out the game against the Jaguars, which the Texans led 20-10 at the half. Leinart fractured his left collarbone during the 2007 season when he was the Cardinals’ starting quarterback, opening the door for Kurt Warner to assume the starting job.
