Sportress of Blogitude:
The interwebs, myself included, have had a lot of fun at the expense of the Manti Te’o Fake Girlfriend hoax saga. But Maxim may have topped everyone’s best efforts at mockery and ridicule with the magazine including Lennay Kekua, Te’o's fake girlfriend, in its annual “Hot 100″ list, something I am sure makes the former Notre Dame Fighting Irish linebacker who was drafted by the San Diego Chargers tremendously proud. Not only did she crack the list at No. 69, somehow Maxim convinced her to pose for a photo in a swimsuit, made even more amazing given that she succumbed to a fake fatal illness last year. Awesome. Her bio: After Manti Te’o's fake girlfriend hoax of 2012, we think it might be nice to have an invisible girl of our own to love. Why not? She’s got a ton of great qualities, including looking awesome in a bikini. Talk about showing some skin. Eat your heart out, Ronda Rousey. Sure, the attractive MMA fighter may have gone nude for her photo, but Manti Te’o's fa...

San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates is feeling pretty disrespected.
The reason for his discontent is his number 73 ranking on the NFL’s annual Top 100 players list.
The list is compiled from votes by the players, so every year there are always feelings that get hurt after someone feels dissed by their peers.

Former NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman announced via his Twitter account that he will be appearing on Season 5 of "American Ninja Warrior."
Free agent tackle Max Starks visited with the San Diego Chargers on Wednesday, but according to Michael Gehlken of The San Diego Union-Tribune, he left town without a contract and remains unsigned as of Friday.
Gehlken goes on to state in his reports that just because Starks left without a contract, doesn't necessarily mean that the Chargers won't have interest in signing...
Every year, there's at least one NFLer who feels slighted over his placement on NFL Network's annual "Top 100" list. (Last year, if you recall, the Giants' Justin Tuck took issue with Eli Manning's ranking.)
Antonio Gates has filled the quota for 2013.
The Chargers' veteran tight end, who came in at No. 73 on the countdown, expressed his displeasure...
The San Diego Chargers got a few signings out the way early this offseason, reaching deals with linebacker Manti Te'o, QB Brad Sorensen, WR Keenan Allen and LB Tourek Williams.
Things looked uncertain for Te'o in the NFL Draft, as some teams shied away from him due to the so-called scandal and the many scouts that weren't completely sold on him as a pro player. San...

Manti Te'o has gone through his first practice with San Diego Chargers veterans, and by all accounts he didn't embarrass himself.
He was matched up against tight end Antonio Gates a few times, which quarterback Philip Rivers calls ''a quick welcome, Day 1.''
Te'o and other Chargers went through the first day of organized team activities, which are practices...
2.06 San Diego Chargers Manti Te’o, ILB, Notre Dame (6-1¼, 241)
With the sixth selection (38th overall) in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers select inside linebacker Manti Te’o from Notre Dame. Te’o was a projected first round draft pick by mostly every draft pundit that slipped down the draft boards for a myriad of reasons. The first reason...
Last year, NFL fans were stunned by the play of the Washington Redskins and the Indianapolis Colts. The two teams who literally went from the worst, to (almost) first, in only a year's time. The Colts and Redskins had the No. 1 & 2 pick in the 2012 Draft, and essentially bought themselves a ticket to the playoffs. Some of the teams on this list may come as a shock, but if you...
