Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch gets the scoop on former Rams defensive end Leonard Little, who has decided to officially end his career after leaving the Rams after the 2009 season. The Rams had a lot of success on the defensive line this season with James Hall and Chris Long. The Rams have moved on without Little and so has Little officially. He was waiting to officially announce his retirement in case the Rams called and needed him during the season, but with the season winding down and the Rams healthy at the defensive end position Leonard will move into the next phase of his life. I thought it was great that Little rejected any other team that contacted him about returning to the NFL, only keeping the door slightly ajar waiting for the Rams and the Rams along.
In the end, without the Rams needing him and finally away from the pain and punishment of the NFL, Little retired. He was one of the great players for the Rams over the past 10 years and he was one of the Rams top 3 players in 2009, and almost single-handedly won a game for the Rams at Jacksonville.
