As several reports have indicated, linebacker Leroy Hill has been suspended for the season opener against San Francisco.
Considering Hill’s situation, a one-game suspension is quite minimal. Leroy Hill and the Seattle Seahawks should feel very good about the punishment.
Hill will be allowed to participate in exhibition games, but the Seahawks can place him on the reserve/suspended list when the roster must be trimmed. In other words, the Seahawks can carry an additional player into the first week of the regular season without dumping Hill.
Now we just have to cross our fingers and hope Hill can stay out of trouble.
