LeSean McCoy is working through his feeling after teammate Riley Cooper’s racist remarks went viral when CrossingBroad.com posted a video from last month’s Kenny Chesney concert. McCoy, like many of his teammates, have spoken to the media. Mike Vick issued an acceptance of Cooper’s apology, but McCoy has shown a slight progression since first learning about it. Via Pro Football Talk: LeSean McCoy told me what hurts about Cooper's remarks is "losing a friend." I asked him what that meant, "I can't respect a guy like that." — Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) August 1, 2013 Per Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com, McCoy said he wonders whether Cooper’s “true colors” came through in the moment captured by a hand-held phone’s video camera. “I forgave Riley,” McCoy added, via Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “It’s new. I hope it wears off. At this point, I speak for myself and other teammates, I know it’s different.” McCoy has every right to have those feelings; it would be extremely difficult to work closely with an open racist.
