LeSean McCoy, who was drafted by Philly, is confident about Jalen Hurts’ Eagles bouncing back next season

This offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles made the biggest splashy move by hiring former Los Angeles Chargers coach Kellen Moore as the new offensive coordinator, after letting go of Brian Johnson. Additionally, they made some really good signings in the free agency as well as draft picks.

As with the new extension of AJ Brown, the signing of Saquon Barkley as running back, and Kenny Pickett as the backup QB– the Eagles have stabilized their offense and geared up for the upcoming season.

In light of this revamp, fans feel confident about the bounce back of quarterback Jalen Hurts in the lead, after his poor performance last season, resulting in Philly’s comeback altogether.

Can Jalen Hurts lead the bounce back in 2023?

While talking on the subject on the recent episode of SPEAK, analyst LeSean McCoy, whose NFL journey began with Philly, expressed his utter confidence in the Eagles’ potential bounce back in 2024.

Everything we know about Jalen Hurts is always getting better and getting better and getting better. He has that player that coaches’ son type of attitude. Look at his track record from college, bounced around a little bit but he got better every year, no matter if it was Alabama or if it was Oklahoma. The Eagles– first year, he didn’t look that good but got better, got better. Last year had a down year, I expect him to bounce back. LeSean McCoy said

McCoy argued that the reason why he believes in Hurts’ bounce back is because of the type of solid team Philly built this offseason, highlighting it’s hard for him to not play with his capabilities. Moreover, he now has a solid offensive coordinator as Moore, having everything in his favor as the former Philly star claimed.

Last season, the Eagles began as the strongest time in the league with an unbeatable record till week 8. Hurts as well, praised for his passing game but as the postseason came near, the quarterback got intercepted in an increased count, resulting in 15 total interceptions in 2023.

Due to the consecutive losses in the final several games of 2023, the Eagles’ offense ranking dropped to the 8th position in ESPN’s list. But as they move forward, they are planning a new start and a solid comeback with an even stronger offensive line.
