The Vikings were able to fend off the Chicago Bears and keep their playoff hopes alive, but their Week 14 victory isn’t what’s making headlines; Adrian Peterson’s quest for 2,000 yards isn’t either. Instead, the media and fans are growling just a little louder about Christian Ponder’s role as the team’s starting quarterback. Head coach Leslie Frazier has addressed Ponder’s status in recent weeks. According to a report from the Twin Cities Pioneer Press, Frazier stated that the decision on whether or not to start Ponder was essentially up to him. He reiterated by telling the media that the Vikings’ management has given him the go-ahead on roster decisions in general.… Read more

  • Helllooooo....it's only about 6 games too late
  • This team would be winning the division if Webb was at QB. In the NFL the future is NOW!! It isn't waiting for a QB to develop. I could understand if the guy showed any signs of being a franchise QB, but this is one of the most pathetic seasons I have watched from a QB. I don't care if it is his 2nd season. Webb proved he could win. He deserves a shot.
  • If Webb starts the last 3 games the Vikings will lose all 3 games by big margins. Webb is a good athlete, but he is not a legitimate NFL quarterback who could get to the Superbowl.
  • I agree totaly....The future is now....to much money involved..Win now ..cut ponder
  • I have news for you all.. Joe Webb is not the answer to what problems the Vikings currently have! He is a fine gifted athlete but he is not the calliber of a starting QB in the NFL. If your placing your judgement of Webb on that Philly game he won in relief a few years ago? The only reason Webb won that game is because Joe caught Philly's D off gard with his mobility! Ponder is only in his second year and needs more time to adjust. Now if he's not progressing by next training camp and start of the season? Then the Vikings should be looking for a alternative rout to take at QB!
  • It is more than just Ponder. What about the receivers?? We have no "go to" guys like we used to. Sure Ponder is not very good but let's not put all the blame on him alone.....We need MOSS back!!!
