Leslie Frazier is becoming a seasoned head coach, displaying his public awareness of volatile receiver Percy Harvin by stating, “He’s in a good frame of mind,” Frazier said, via Chris Wesseling of NFL.com.
Harvin visited Vikings headquarters to have his grade 3 sprained ankle evaluated, in which Frazier followed up by saying, "We'll see where it goes from there." In other words, the guy didn’t freak out or have a tantrum.
Entering his final year of his contract, Harvin is on a close watch by the Vikings. He passed his physical and is cleared for offseason activities. However, a looming holdout is a huge concern, as Harvin is the Vikings top receiver and he’ll be looking to get paid like one in 2013, not 2014.
‘Frazier and general manager Rick Spielman have publicly backed Harvin, and the organization reportedly never had any intention of letting the star receiver play out the final year of his rookie deal without an extension. If the sides can't find common ground, however, the Vikes could shop Harvin around the NFL.’
