Rumors and Rants:
As Chris Berman always says, no one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.
Unfortunately, the Bills appear to be perpetually traveling as members of the Donner Party.
A once-promising season is swirling down the toilet after the Bills lost their third-straight game on Sunday, this one a 35-8 blowout at the hands of previously impotent Miami, which has suddenly won three in a row.
And it’s not as if any of Buffalo’s losses have been pretty. The streak began with a dismal 27-11 home loss to the Jets, then jumped up a couple notches with a horrific 44-7 loss at Dallas.
The losing streak does not come as any surprise to anyone that is familiar with the nightmare that is Buffalo football, though. The last time the Bills started a year 5-2, the team rewarded coach Dick Jauron with a three-year contract extension. In true Buffalo fashion, the Bills finished the season on a 2-7 nosedive and were stuck with Dick Jauron as their coach for another year.
Incredibly, the scenario is...

Just in case the Buffalo Bills are regretting the decision to give quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick a six-year, $59 million deal they can walk away from nearly $49 million of it after the end of this season. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk , p er a league source, the Bills could trade or cut Fitzpatrick before the seventh day of the 2012 league year and owe him nothing...
The Bills might regret giving Ryan Fitzpatrick a brand new contract worth nearly $60 million, considering he's gone in the tank since signing the deal, with an embarrassing 35-8 loss to Miami the low point on a once promising season. So here's some (potentially) good news for Bills fans: Buffalo can reportedly bail out of most of the quarterback's contract if they decide...
Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said the last three games have been very humbling and didn’t deny that blowout losses can chip away at a team’s confidence.
When asked specifically if the team’s confidence has been affected by the lopsided games Fitz said the following.
“It’s definitely been drained a little bit the last few weeks, especially the way that we’ve lost and falling...
Details of Ryan Fitzpatrick's contract extension are in, and as advertised, it makes him the 16th-highest paid starting QB in the league, with an average salary of $9.83 million a year. Fitzpatrick got a $10 million signing bonus this year. He gets a $5 million option bonus in March. His base salaries are $2.8 million next year, $4.25 million in 2013, $4.35 million in 2014, ...
The Buffalo Bills are left searching for answers after their latest blowout loss. Here from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and coach Chan Gailey here.

I don't work in television, but if there was one thing Chris Berman actually did teach me it would be to not disrupt live on air talent.
While that clip is online video gold, perhaps this is silver or at a very least bronze. The on site Monday Night Countdown crew unexpectedly had to scramble when a facilities employee walked right into their shot just as they were starting...
The Bills were not up to the challenge as they fell to Miami 35-8
The Bills just never showed up. That would be the best way to recap the Bills 35-8 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, which drops them to 5-5 on the season and tied for second place in the AFC East.
Buffalo put together a nice drive to start the game but everything went bad from there as the Dolphins annihilated...
C.J. Spiller was as big a part of Sunday’s game plan as he has been in weeks. His role got even bigger in the second half when Fred Jackson went out with a leg injury. What frosted Spiller was being unable to convert on 1st-and-goal from the two and 2nd-and-goal from the one.
“That’s on me, I should have punched that in,” said Spiller. ”I’ll dwell on that watching it...
