David Clowney talks to the Star-Ledger about his offseason, his upcoming trip to Ghana, and how he’s looking to be part of the Jets this year. When you come back, you will shift gears into training camp. What are your personal goals this year on the football field? Just to be a key player offensively and on special teams, all the way around. Doing whatever I can to help my team win. I know Santonio (Holmes) is not going to be here for the first couple weeks of the season and I’m just going to have to step up; take a much bigger role when he’s gone, even when he’s coming back. Whenever I’m on the field, whenever I’m in the game, I have to make the best of it and just play my role and make plays.
