We are going to break up the usual Sunday morning routine of Phil Simms and start with a piece done by the Star Ledger on Linval Joseph. When you read stories like these you begin to understand why some special players can make it to the NFL w/o getting to play for top Division 1 college programs. Brandon Jacobs was stuck behind Carnell (Cadillac) Williams and Ronnie Brown at Auburn. So he transferred to Southern Illinois to get snaps. Joseph lost an opportunity to play for the Florida Gators, so he went to East Carolina. And if you think it is an exact science, then there are still going to be players like Tom Brady who fall to the 6th round and others like Victor Cruz who aren't even drafted. So the lesson for all of us is that there is plenty of opportunity to sift through the talent to find the players that are worth getting on your roster. The Giants fell to the Packers while Dallas once again stumbled in the desert.
No need to waste much time here. In the last eight regular season games these two have played going back to 2007, they have combined for an average of 57 points – 28.5 each. So it’s a pretty safe bet to say that neither team will have much luck shutting the other one...
There's really no need to dress up what's at stake for the Cowboys on Sunday night:
Win and they've got the inside track on the NFC East title with momentum on their side after a strong game against the Packers. Lose and they're two games out of first with three games to play with a five-game losing streak, creating all kinds of doubts about Tom Coughlin's future...

The sole unfortunate side effect of the Eagles’ nosedive is that very middling Giants and Cowboys teams are left to stage a derp-off for the conference’s fourth seed. While this might seem sad in concept, it’s pretty hilarious in execution when marquee teams such as these are involved. For example, New York’s noble defeat to the Packers was...
Tony Romo and Eli Manning traded big plays all night long. In the end, it came down to a kick. Well, make that two kicks. Bottom line: the NFC East is the Giants to lose, says Chris Burke.
Eli Manning was Mr. Fourth Quarter yet again, rallying the Giants with 15 points in the final 5:41 in a game his team absolutely, positively had to win. You can’t get much more clutch than that, although it wasn’t as if the rest of Manning’s...

Feeling nervous, disappointed, angry, defensive regarding the game yesterday and what the future holds, I just gome a distraction and some much needed happiness with my New York Football Giants beating the Cowgirls to go into a tie with the Cowboys (with the tie breaker) for first place for the division. It wasnt pretty but what Eli Manning has done this year is fantastic. He has...
