Detroit is now 5-2
The Detroit Lions were handed their second straight loss (16-23) from the Atlanta Falcons Sunday.
What should have been a comeback after last weeks weak performance against San Francisco, turned into Detroit’s second HOME loss in a row. The Lions looked OK, but couldn’t seem to capitalize on anything. Other than a thrilling 83 yd TD reception (his 10th of the season) from the big man himself, Calvin Johnson, all the points were scored by kicker Jason Hanson.
The beginning of the game looked promising after the defense intercepted Matt Ryan within the 1st 3 minutes of the game, giving the Lions great field position, but they were only able to pull out a field goal. The Lions trailed 17-6 at the half and they just couldn’t seem to get a handle on things, even with our great 2nd half comeback reputation.
